id like to think that when i come on here for a quick chat im talking to other women. ive noticed some men on here and thats actually putting me off. some of the topics we talk about are very intimate. i cant understand why men would want to come on this website, maybe the name should be changed to parentnet. aibu.

Anyway, sillybilly welcome to the group. Please do not be put off by this immature We're happy to have you here

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:22

oops immature behaviour that was supposed to be!

sillybilly2006 · 10/10/2007 22:23

Was it though 2hot2? You sound like a very sad and lonely person. Perhaps the bottle is your closest friend. Not judging, just pitying.

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:25

2hot, whatever has made you upset surely cant just be this thread, maybe you should try dealing with whatever issues you have regarding men and their help at home (or lack of it) and actually being told what to do by your otehr half, I see you seem to think men have control over many of the women on this thread (or me at least) whereas , in fact it is probably the other way around.

It is your dh that you have said wouldn't like you to have male friends, wouldn't help with the kids etc, so maybe it is your ideals that are the ones that need changing??

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 22:26

2hot2cook - you posted an ideologically unsound untenable post, you got (lots)of answers you found unpalatable. that does not mean you have pissed anyone off, far from it, it does mean your OP and subsequent grandiose mutterings were poorly received

it is not personal - exchange of views only

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 22:27

oh sillybilly, what a well chosen name you've got.

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:28

Here we go with the immature comments again. Don't pick on the new boy just because you can't think of anything else!

Sorry sillybilly, hope you don't mind being referred to as a boy

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:29

I think sillybilly will fit in here just fine
Still not so sure about 2hot though, rudeness isn't the most cherished quality of many mumsnetters that I have had the fortune to come across.

sillybilly2006 · 10/10/2007 22:30

It has been a long time since I was referred to as a boy. Go ahead!

I think I'm going to like this place.

As for name choices......2hot?? I doubt it!

sillybilly2006 · 10/10/2007 22:30

Thank you LoRayn

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 22:32

More digression cannot conceal fact your OP is ideologically unsound, untenable, unsustainable

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:33

Perhaps now is the time to bring this to a close and for 2hot to admit to being a wind-up merchant and why he/she started this thread at all.

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 22:34

welcome sillybilly2006

wabbit · 10/10/2007 22:35

Ahh... guys don't lower yourselves, immature behaviour can be left to those who haven't the mind to realise that GENDER is not to be mistaken for SEX...

sillybilly2006 · 10/10/2007 22:36

I'm off to see what else this group has to offer. I have come to the conclusion that this is a 14(ish) yr old girl that because of having no life experience actually doesa not know what they are talking about.

Thank you for the welcome from others, looking forward to future chats.

chipmonkeyPumpkinNorks · 10/10/2007 22:36

Welcome sillybilly!

ThePhantomToiletFlusher · 10/10/2007 22:36

I agree with what Chantilly said.

Step away from the thread, move along now sir/madam, nothing to see!

(said in deep authoratative voice - gender neutral of course!!).

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 22:37

yep lets go frolick giggle gossip and acknowledge that men ate brilliant in fact MN is brilliant

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:37

Happy hunting sillybilly. See you on another thread some day

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:39

How does that footy song go....'oh it's all gone quiet over here! oh it's all gone quiet over there............'

Monkeytrousers · 10/10/2007 22:40

Tis a troll, surely?

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:41

2hot to be a troll surely!

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 22:43

can i just end this here and now. i started a fairly harmless thread, (compared to some ive seen on here) and because of this
ive been called;

sad
lonely
alcoholic
weired
rude

and probably lots more. all because i dont have male friends, and would rather not talk to them on here. and just to prove my point, some jerk, who doesnt know me from adam, has analised my life in 2 minutes and deduced that i am to be pitied? well, sillybilly, if thats how you talk to people you "pity" dont ever get a job as a samaritan.

im actually very happy thank you, and dont spend half my life on here like some of you. its you lot that need to look at your life.

im off
