Just thought I'd briefly slip off my lurking cloak and say...

You've converted me, and my postie has delivered my Mooncup today!!

It's tiny. I was expecting a goblet-sized receptacle.

And I can't believe it's got measurement markings on it. WTF? Handy if I ever lose my measuring spoons I suppose.

Whose going to claim me as their convert then?

I think it should be SusieCutie.

just one question, i found i didn't need to trim the stem... should i anyway? im perfectly comfortable, but thought i'd ask

I'm loving it so far.....always had to change tampax every 2hrs, now can go 6hrs on heavy day, yaaay. No leaks, problems. For getting it out, definately find squeezing it first to break suction, then not pulling it all out at once but sort of tipping it forward, comes out much easier.

I bought mine a few weeks ago and have been waiting for my period with great anticipation for once! Was able to start using it last night. Very impressed I must say. Didn't have to get up in the night and even managed a cup of coffee this morning before dashing to the loo to empty it!
I was worried it wouldn't unfurl inside me. I don't like inserting it much and removing it was not very pleasant, kinda clicks along the sides as I pull it out...urgh. And yet...I like it!

Spiritual Knot - it's such a revelation isn't it?

I note that no one wants to claim me as their convert. [crushed]

SpiritualKnot · 24/10/2007 16:22

I've just ordered one to be sent to my sister. (Yes, I did tell her first).

Ok so mooncup and AF arrived and I think I am converted.... however cycle really weird:-

normal - 5 days start heavy lighter flow

first month with mooncup - 5 days really light followed by another 5 days much heavier

Only real problem was not realising you need to empty contents of mooncup onto a tissue not straight into toilet - otherwise it doesn't flush away properly (sorry tmi) and erm can take a bit of time/practice - at work colleagues were concerned as I was gone for so long
