Nothing biodegrades in the anaerobic environment of landfull.

Sorry - I give up trying to explain.

expatinscotland · 06/10/2007 22:13

No, suction in your vagina holds it in place.

It's not a barrier method, like the diaphragm.

It's a keeper cup.

The cervix is quite sturdy. It's pretty good at keeping foreign objects from getting into the uterus from the vagina.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 22:13

it does for me, but when i mentioned this to franny she nearly passed out. it apparently sits in her vag just dinky. i suppose we'll all use it differently cos we're all shapes and sizes.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 22:14

you could compost them, kerrymum, that's be better.
is that true that nothing biodegrades? sheeeit.

gordieracer · 06/10/2007 22:14

The bloods is in "stuck" in your uterus all month, it's not going to hurt staying in the mooncup a few hours. It only starts to become un-hygenic when it gets out of the body

I have a wavy vagina now, apparently, so I do have to place mine a bit higher up .

But I do use the diaphragm and I've never been the squeamish sort.

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 22:15

LMAO trying to get into your uterus through your cervix!

thats the mooncup getting through btw!

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 22:16

good - too blimin right - all for weighing rubbish.

expatinscotland · 06/10/2007 22:17

I mean, sperm have a hard enough time making it through there to the uterus!

And to get the coil in, the doctor has to sort of dilate it and clamp it open.

It's usually sturdy enough to keep an entire baby in the uterus.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 06/10/2007 22:19

it's not plugged up, it's in a cup... lordy oh lordy. you should totally try it, kerrymum, it sounds right up your vag street.

Louana · 06/10/2007 22:20

you have convinced me, am off to boots monday

expatinscotland · 06/10/2007 22:20

As for weighting rubbish, it's not entirely a good idea for some.

We live in a council that is very rural by nature and stretches over a vast area.

They only offer paper and cardboard recycling.

Thankfully, we have a car and space to store other items to recycle until we need to do an errand in town and then we take everything else to the recycling centre.

But there are a fair number of elderly people in this council who don't drive.

And if they had to pay for their rubbish by weight, too, well, it wouldn't exactly be fair because the council has very limited recycling collection.

Ah I agree - they would have to offer the full range of recycling options before deciding they could charge you.

so then i presume you use towels kerrymum
lovely to sit your twot in a manmade fibre cotton feel towel for a few horus, by which time when you change it, you need to sort out a bin and wash yourself.
Mooncups rule

TheBlonde · 06/10/2007 22:23

this thread has convinced me... I'm gonna order one

fangsandflash · 06/10/2007 22:24

At the moment (pre coil 2 weeks ago) I soaked through a tampon and a pad in one hour - could hardly leave the house - now have coil and mooncup feel a)can have sex b) can go out.
