Some very grim men on there.

I even put on my profile what I am looking for and it appears most men cannot read.....

I met my DH on tinder. Don’t engage with men who just want hook ups. It’s quite easy to meet people and NOT sleep with them. I found if you don’t engage in that behaviour you soon find like minded people.

I always thought tinder was just a shag app Obviously that can develop into relationship but wouldn't go on tinder for that originally.

I don't have sex with them I just unmatch them - boring replying to them they must get some success otherwise why bother!

I've spoken to some odd or rude people on tinder but never actually had any sexually suggestive messages. Certainly nothing like OP has had!

I think I will try another paid for site and see if any better in the quality department

I met my fiancé on Tinder 5.5 years ago! I’ve heard from friends still using it that it has changed a lot since then though, unfortunately.

I thankfully didn’t meet many men who were only wanting hook ups but met a lot straight away, literally the same day, for brunch or coffee just to see how we felt without all the endless chat first. But anyway, it probably has changed a lot over 6 years.

agree op, it's hideous. Everyone I know on there has been used for sex, or has met complete and utter weirdos on there.

My best friend has met 3 people on tinder that she went on to have relationships with (3 years 1 year and the current one that is going amazingly well for her) she's 42.

I'm 43 and although yes I've had some of the experiences you've had, I've also met men who want a relationship... I'm currently at the early dating stages with a guy who does ... I like him 😁

When i was first old i used tinder, pof and badoo and like you only found people who were after one thing or who needed an ego boost (you know the type woo you and make you fall for them until you agree to meet, im very shy, and then when it comes to the meeting back out a day or two before) a friend recommended match.com after herself and best friend found there bf (one of which is engaged) you do have to pay but for me i was happy to as 8 thought it would weedle out all the men just looking for sex (there are prostitutes for that right ha) any way i started talking to a guy 30 mjns after signing up and creating my profile. Skip to very nearly 2 years later and we are still together it is by far the best £60 i have ever spent, funny thing is he had only been on the site for 2 hours before talking to me. Good luck
