Seriously stuck in a food rut at the moment and I’m so uninspired I’m rarely cooking a proper meal.

What’s on the menu in your home tonight?

We had my DM’s cottage pie and broccoli

@merryhouse my Nana used to cook lamb’s hearts, but I never knew how she did it. Would you mind giving your recipe please?

Does anyone know something insporing to do with leftover rroast beef and carrots? We had it last week and I froze the beef in slices with the gtravy etc. I suppose I could make a really rich beef pho but other than that I can't think of anything.

Probbaly eggs on toast tonight as we are out for lunch (I am working a half day) and I am having margaritas!

Did a chicken fajita bowl (chicken/ peppers mix) with salad, guacamole and sour cream - no tortillas or cheese.

@adogisforlife91 I was given an air fryer for Xmas and we've used it everyday since, I absolutely love it!

Tonight is takeout night, and it's my turn to choose, so it's Thai. Girls will most probably have maccyd's.

And wine.

Homemade Turkish. Which is basically grilled marinated chicken wings, taboullah and homemade chips.

Sausage and butter bean stew (Hairy Bikers Recipe) with mixed salad and DP is having a jacket potato. With a bottle of finest lidl chianti.

I love these threads. They're quiet, comfortable, and friendly. And about food. Which is possibly a little too much of a focus for this family, but what the hey?!

Well we had a pack of chicken and mango sausages from the butcher, defrosted from frozen but the DCs have turned their noses up. I don't know. Am tired. DD has just been to the GP with breathing issues (not covid). I hust want to go to sleep.

• Linguine with prosciutto, garlic, tomato and French beans. Ah sounds perfect. Our kids wouldn't eat it though so it's roast chicken, mash and runner beans here.

Mexican beef and avocado salsa

Lazy hot dogs here tonight. The "eyes and lips" type for DH and eldest DD. Vegan version for me and youngest DD. Really don't have the energy to cook properly.

Chili con carne in the slow cooker and have jacket spuds in the oven. Smells really nice, and has made me want to eat everything today.

Today it's a chicken, sausage, chickpea, mushroom and harissa traybake from the BBC website. Looking forward to it.
