Mine know I like my fitness/gym time but don't know just how much of a huge part of my life it is.

They don't know I was bullied out of my previous position.

They don't know that I have been home studying to further my career.

Pretty much nothing cause they are so self centred they don't even ask how you are or what you have been up to!

Dyrne · 27/08/2020 18:54

Some work colleagues know more about me than others; but in general we have more of a superficial friendship - get on well, make an effort to remember the names of Spouses/DC/Pets; but that’s it really. It can be a bit lonely sometimes.

I’m amazed we have 2 secret lottery winners on this thread - if I won all my colleagues would know, mainly because I’d be backflipping out the door giving everyone the middle finger Grin

CrisPbacon · 27/08/2020 19:00

That I used to moonlight as a dancer on the Hitman and Her

OldRed · 27/08/2020 19:00

My colleagues don't know how horribly shy I am. They also would be shocked that I question myself constantly and am terribly insecure. They think I am super confident, probably a bit on the brash side.

I work with colleagues that tell me everything, way too much information. I also work with someone who is a firmly closed book and open aboutbtheir wish to keep their personal life private. I respect both though.

dewisant2020 · 27/08/2020 19:01

They don't know I can't stand most off them, I dread it when they come knocking at the office door to bitch and moan about a colleague to try and get brownie points.
That my life is a mess since my DS passed away and the only way I can get out of bed in the morning is by taking anti depressants.
I participated in a gangbang last week and really enjoyed it including sniffing cocaine of a mans genitals

Chickoletta · 27/08/2020 19:01

Like @GrandTheftWalrus, I also worked right through a twin miscarriage at 12 weeks in April. My line managers and two close colleagues know but nobody else does. At the time it felt like the right thing to do - I wanted to be busy and my kids were locked down with me, so not much else I could do. I chaired a really important meeting whilst sitting on a towel because I was bleeding so heavily.

I’m back to work properly tomorrow (teacher) and feel really sad that I should be waddling back in, 7 months pregnant with twins but I actually look no different from when I left in March. ☹️

MJMG2015 · 27/08/2020 19:02

@tangycalligrapher

Me too! But the boss, not a colleague. And no wiping down

That's truly vile. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Get a grip. It's sex not murder!!
sleeplessinliverpool · 27/08/2020 19:15

They don't know that I'm a bored millionaire. I don't need to work, but I do to keep me sane 👍

Millano · 27/08/2020 19:15

I had a serious drug addiction for 10 years. I was a highly functioning addict, but my god I nearly died from it several times. I don’t think anyone I worked with knew. Though a couple may have suspected.

Skone · 27/08/2020 19:35

My old employer: the real cause of my husband's death
New employer: that my husband died last year 😔

Gretabumbag · 27/08/2020 19:39

Last year I partook in one of Spencer Tunicks installations. I was absolutely naked along with about 20 others for arts sake. I`m waiting for the official photo. No-one at work knows. Hee hee!

Sandii · 27/08/2020 19:51

That l’m in AA ....l was a chronic alkie and haven’t drunk for 12years .

GertieBassett · 27/08/2020 19:54

I'm in witness protection

Muser314 · 27/08/2020 19:58

@latticechaos

My real name
Wow. Now that's interesting. How do you get a job with a fake name. Doesn't your name have to match your pps number on the payroll? Do you use your real DOB? What are you up to!?
Lazysundayafternoons · 27/08/2020 19:59

As PP said, they dont know that I'm just about managing to hold everything together. I have PND (that they also dont know about) and have very little confidence in myself. I've put on such a good show that I've just been encouraged to apply for a promotion Confused

Muser314 · 27/08/2020 19:59

@GertieBassett

I'm in witness protection
Wow! This thread is better than netflix. I'm sure you cannot give details though :-/
Muser314 · 27/08/2020 20:01

Another intriguing secret! Do you think you give it away in little ways? Is your address a giveaway?
hopeishere · 27/08/2020 20:04

That my husband has cancer and is about to have a massive course of treatment. I can't face the sympathy (although well intentioned) or the ongoing questions.

TenDays · 27/08/2020 20:08

@excuseforfights

Thanks *@TheOrigBrave*

I feel like I should tell my boss but I’m so embarrassed to have failed at my marriage. Is it ok not to say anything if the divorce is manageable?

You haven't failed, it just didn't work out.
GertieBassett · 27/08/2020 20:12

Netflix? I wish!.. Its hard.. My husband was a ' Bertie Smalls'

Lochnessgiraffe · 27/08/2020 20:12

That I have tattoo, a full back piece and half sleeve.
That I have children

HedgehogPoo · 27/08/2020 20:14

That I'm a GC activist - my section is dominated by an extremely good-looking Woke gay bloke, who is completely adored by everyone. He's actually really lovely, but of the view that any man is a woman if he says so and women aren't actually relevant in this discussion. I would be slaughtered by the acolytes if they knew my views and I'd probably be reported to senior management for reprogramming.
It's a real Boner Contention (sorry, not sorry Grin)

MelodysMomma · 27/08/2020 20:27

How do your colleagues not know you have kids?

PrincessSD · 27/08/2020 20:31

My senior management team didn’t know I had two young children (1 and 3) until Lockdown and I had to furlough to take care of them. One member had started when I was on maternity leave with my second so assumed I only had one and the other started after I came back so didn’t know I had any. I work in a different location to them so have never actually met them.

YogiMatte · 27/08/2020 20:33

They don't know that I was a teacher previously and they don't know what my house is like.

Really want to ask what this selling feet pics malarkey is though Grin. And selling worn socks?
