Neighbour leaned out of the window to look at me?

I was vaping in the garden standing by my back door, had short shorts and a vest top on (I'm obese so would be very uncomfortable being seen) as no one can see into my garden otherwise.

My neighbour opened her upstairs window and leaned out of the window to look at me, I was on the phone so stared back, she looked very embarrassed and closed the window again.

Would you bring it up with her? I found it really strange she would even want to do that as she really has to stretch to see me.

She is probably fed up with your vape smoke and smell. 🤦‍♀️

So neighbour had to stretch to see you. This implies that she couldn't see you before she stretched. This in turn implies that she clearly did not know you were there, so wasn't actually intentially stretching to specifically look at you. HTH

If you’re standing in your garden surely you’re aware that people can see you? I’m all for wearing what you want in your garden but unless you’re detached with no neighbours there’s the possibility someone will see you. She could hear a voice and could probably smell your vape and she was checking it out.

I think you need to leave it. Having it out with her, whatever her motivation, isn't going to improve neighbourly relations tbh.

She was looking to see where the smell came from, that's all.

She was probably wondering where the smell was coming from - some of those vape things smell odd to say the least.

If my neighbour was smoking or vaping at the back door, with the smell coming into my house, I'd look, too.

Used to get smoke through a vent in a rental flat and it was awful. Didn't know for sure who so difficult to say anything.

Yes, absolutely she could smell something and was looking for the source. If she leaned out it was because she couldn't initially find it, not to get a look at you in your shorts.

I often look out of my windows. Sometimes I see a neighbour. They’ve never approached me to discuss it
