Every wall covered in Kate Forman fabric (apart from the expense at £90 a metre)?

Architect so no I would cry and expect to wake up to a deer carcass in my bed or something.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 21/08/2020 18:18

I’d love it for a guest room but it’s a little busy for my main bedroom x

Imworthit · 21/08/2020 18:21

Also lived somewhere I hated with a passion. This was the common style so I'm very biased.

speakout · 21/08/2020 18:22

It's just wall covering though- so take a day and reove it- no big deal.

Imworthit · 21/08/2020 18:31

Just saw the rest of the house. Love the bathroom. Beautiful building. It's all the dark paint and pinterest, shabby chic shit I find tacky.

Jux · 21/08/2020 19:13

The whole thing's horrible. Really really boring. The shower makes me feel cold.

ScrambledSmegs · 21/08/2020 19:16

It's clearly very expensively done. Not to my taste at all though. That tallboy is gorgeous , it needs to be made more of and not lost against the wall covering.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I've stayed in rural french hotels with bedrooms that looked almost exactly like that, except infinitely more shabby and no signs on the walls. They're simultaneously cosy and intimidating. I wonder if that's what she was aiming for?

ScrambledSmegs · 21/08/2020 19:19

Also in the same photo as the tallboy there's a fern in an old tin bucket. On the floor. Why would you do that? Confused

Rosegarden123389 · 21/08/2020 19:21

No but I hate the colour red in home decoration. Except for christmas time.

whiplashy · 21/08/2020 19:22

I wouldn’t love it (at all) but could definitely live with it

ScrambledSmegs · 21/08/2020 19:28

Oh, in answer to the 'could you live with it' question, of course I could. I managed to sleep in a room with bright pink pastoral toile du jouy wallpaper for 5 years. The matching blinds were a bit of an issue but only because they were so thin they might as well not have been there.

It's amazing what you can make work for you if you have to.

Shizzlestix · 21/08/2020 19:48

Horrible wall covering whatever it is. The French signs don’t go, although as a French speaker I might have them somewhere.

Darcysshirt · 21/08/2020 19:52

Evidently they are wallpaper! They fooled me, perhaps a bit like wallpaper that is made to look like an old Library.-That fooled me once in a photo, til the titles repeated!

It says in the description that the walls are brick that has been sealed etc.

Thehop · 21/08/2020 19:53

I really like it! With plainer furnishings it would be so lovely.

Darcysshirt · 21/08/2020 19:57

OP, did you post this because of another thread that was lamenting how the homeware in shops is all so bland and same-y?

PlanDeRaccordement · 21/08/2020 19:59

No, I could not.

ChristmasFluff · 21/08/2020 20:00

I'd move in as is, paint the bed black and red and set up my sex dungeon.

So classy, that little hint of the unusual in the decor that will be left.

Words · 21/08/2020 20:02

I like the wallpaper. The bed is terrible. An iron bedstead would look much better.

Words · 21/08/2020 20:04

And remove the faux French enamel signs,

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 21/08/2020 20:06

It looks haunted.

DoAsYouWouldBeMumBy · 21/08/2020 20:16

I think it's beautiful and warm and restful. The whole room.

We are all different; but, yeah, people, stop painting everything grey. There are other colours and God knows we need cheering up a bit 😬

goose1964 · 21/08/2020 20:18

The first though was is it French, it has that sort of chateau hotel sort of vibe.

1Morewineplease · 21/08/2020 20:22

No I couldn’t. Having had to try to remove linen from walls before, I would have to pay someone to remove it.
I can’t stand wallpaper and it makes a room look smaller.
I don’t like the words on a plaque on a wall either.
If I had this bedroom I’d have to alter it very quickly.
That being said, I quite like the bed.

Lweji · 21/08/2020 20:32

@chunkyrun

I love it! Those draws 😍 I'm in a bland white newbuild. Would love something decadent like this
What draws? Confused
Lweji · 21/08/2020 20:34

@burritofan

The horrible murder bathroom is actually brick FABRIC
WTAF? Why?
