Every wall covered in Kate Forman fabric (apart from the expense at £90 a metre)?

I like it

fairlyplump · 21/08/2020 20:38

Its very classy, far more sophisticated than the common
grey, silver, and crushed velvet that is every where at the moment

ShinyMe · 21/08/2020 20:38

I'm not keen on the wallpaper, but I hate the twee fake old signs. And i could not be doing with that bed - I'd be bumping into hard corners all the time.

Whoopsmahoot · 21/08/2020 20:39

No

Lweji · 21/08/2020 20:39

It's not fabric!
It's exposed brick that was sealed. Still nasty to clean properly and a dust trap.

It does say that they exposed the fabric of the building, though. Not quite the same thing. Grin

LakieLady · 21/08/2020 20:52

I'm 50:50. I like the pattern on the walls, the rugs and the tallboy, the bed is nice but a canopied four-poster would be nicer. The bloody signs on the wall are naff imo.

But linen on walls would be ridiculous in this house. I'd give it a week before I tripped over the dog while carrying a full mug of tea, and that would be the ruination of it.

MitziK · 21/08/2020 20:55

I hate the wallfabric. It's a migraine in pictorial form.

Somebody needs to chuck out 85% of the pointless cushions and put the books away, as they just make it look too busy, bright (as in the colours are shouting at you constantly) and messy. And some of the rugs are bloody awful, cheap and nasty looking (even though they probably cost a fortune) and look like large versions of something from Amazon or Argos.

The shower room would benefit from whitewash.

The kitchen's just a bit Meh. Same as you'll find in any catalogue.

Other than that, the bare bones of the place and the old furniture are nice. I'd fight anybody that wanted to take a paint or varnish brush to old furniture, too, as that shabby shit look is horrendous and wood should be in different colours because trees are different colours.

I'd add more white, more green, especially in the form of plants and flowers, more wood rather than brightly coloured furnishings on new brightly coloured furniture and want it to look more like a calm, peaceful, relaxing place that is 'old', rather than try to pretend it's a new build or the place where Laura Ashley hide all their bankrupt stock.

Fur coat and no knickers house

LittleBearPad · 21/08/2020 21:06

I don’t like the master bedroom. I do like the other rooms. The sitting room is lovely.

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 21/08/2020 21:19

I absolutely LOVE that bathroom. It would give my nightmares but I still would. Am so over peoples indentikit grey boxes.

Rockbird · 21/08/2020 21:24

Nope. I'd be at it with a Stanley knife as soon as I had the keys.

MakeItRain · 21/08/2020 21:28

I couldn't live with those walls. I think I would wake up crying every morning. The rest of the house does look a bit creepy in parts.

Darcysshirt · 21/08/2020 21:30

Yes!

thriftyhen · 21/08/2020 21:45

I love the whole room.

Irelate · 21/08/2020 21:50

I love it. hate the bed though

ScrambledSmegs · 21/08/2020 22:02

I love the look of the wet room/coal hole but it would be murder to clean.

lioncitygirl · 21/08/2020 22:05

No. Just no, sorry! No. No. No.

MashedSpud · 21/08/2020 22:08

It looks like a room in a dolls house.

IncandescentSilver · 21/08/2020 22:12

Its country house style, or at least an expensive, interior designed approximation of it. I don't think its too bad, if you remove the signs.

Try living in an actual country house, with glass cases full of "specimens" collected 100 years ago, and worse...

Imworthit · 21/08/2020 22:22

It looks like the designers got drunk, missed the deadline so threw all the swatches, wine stains and everything, on the design board and just winged it. 'just find some images' 'I have a horror film cover and some shit from a teen magazine' 'just stick it on, stick everything on, shit where's my bra, where's my left shoe?!`

I find those beds with It should be her choice if she wants to be around a man who was convicted of such an offence.

Imworthit · 21/08/2020 22:25

Oops ignore second paragraph technical issues 😂😂😂

WileyStyley · 21/08/2020 22:34

and crushed velvet that is every where at the moment

Oh yes better than crushed velvet (aka footballer’s wife chic).

But now I look at it again the bed looks too big for the room and an odd proportion.

DrCoconut · 21/08/2020 22:48

My inner pedant/teacher wants to take a red pen to the bad spelling on the website. I have mixed feelings about the house. The coal hole is a mixture of hideous and terrifying. But I quite like the kitchen.

maybelaterdear · 21/08/2020 22:56

The signs need to be the first to go,then the cushions.
I quite like the bed.

Userzzz · 21/08/2020 22:59

I love it. I love the cozy feel of wallpaper.
