AIBU to still be shitting myself over the GCSE grades tomorrow

According to the radio 4 show "More or less" this morning some students might not get they're teacher predicted grade. As there's another assessment I'm distraught. I have so much pinning on this tomorrow :-(

I'm very happy. DD got the grades she was predicted in March before lockdown. After reading some of the posts from teachers on here last night I was worried they would have dropped them. She is really pleased as they were very good and (I think) well deserved.

My DD has been really downgraded in her Art. She got a 5. none of her portfolio was looked at to determine the grade. She is gutted about this subject. its her best one and she was looking at a 7 or 8

Grades up 40% .... no surprise everyone’s done well. Friends kid been getting 4’s but has been given all 8’s. Wtf!

My daughter got dropped very low to just a 4 for both English’s despite getting 6 and 7 for nearly everything else. Unfortunately she wanted to do subjects that require English level 6 so she has to rethink everything

We had a high percentage of CAGs upgraded which is interesting.

We already went they won’t budge on the English!

Some of my assessments were downgraded by SLT which is disappointing (for me, the kids won’t know) but the kids got what they needed for their courses so that’s good.

I’ve only spotted a couple of upgrades, our results seem mostly unchanged.

My DD got upgraded in 1 subject by 1 level. I didn’t really see this happening largely, most people were queuing up to change all their A Level subjects!

The CAGS were not based solely on mock exams - we were told to take a broad range of evidence and give our best assessment of what we thought students would get. This has then gone through an internal school moderation before going to the exam boards.

Does he want to retake?

Hi everyone good news for everyone I'm so happy for you all. I got my pass at a level 4 so that was all I needed. As I got my previous qualifications as well of too pass out with relief x

Congratulations all. I think dd probably had one upgrade from CAGS which I think were sensible
Do feel that no one is going to take these results seriously though which is a shame.
