Hi everyone!

Hoping to ask for help in tracing another lamb teddy for my daughter, she really loves it like no other teddy!

Lamby does have a label but it is just a fire warning and instructions on washing.

Here is Lamby-

No, not quite I don't think.

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 17:20

@Whitney168 That's so close! Thank you for looking. I may think of using that one as a 'back up' if we can't trace it.

We had this with a bunny rabbit. I advise anyone whose child has a favourite toy to buy a few of them if they know the shop it came from. This rabbit was knitted, so the stitches wore and ran as it got older. It was from M and S .
I think we had four before the shop stopped doing them. One was lost, others replaced and stitched. One is still loved, with the two very worn ones hidden in a cupboard in case needed but really beyond repair.
Sorry, l can't help with Lamby though

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 18:29

@Frankley I wish I'd had known that lamb teddy would've turned out to be her favourite! She has so many others but this is the one.

I hope I can find another 😫

There's a law that children must never choose the most easily-replaced teddy as their favourite.

Where possible, they will always select the uniquely hand-crafted one that your since-deceased great-aunt bought from a one-off market in a town no one remembers the name of when she went on her first trip to Spain in 1966. It will have been in a drawer in her house right until the day you went to visit with your 2 year old, who spotted its tail sticking out, seized it, and has never let go except for that single brief moment when you were crossing a canyon.

Alwaysoutofreach · 17/08/2020 19:16

Is it 'first impressions lamb cream sheep'?

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 19:25

@BelfastSmile Haha! That made me laugh!

I think it's a true fact!

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 19:26

@Alwaysoutofreach Ooooh, I think that's very close! The limbs look longer but that's an awesome find, thank you!

Not helpful at all, but my brother’s favourite toy is also called Lamby and I will admit I clicked on this thread in panic! 😂

derxa · 17/08/2020 19:29

We lost 'rabbit' on a motorway journey once. It was terrible. Hippo was darned and stitched by MIL till he was a mere shell of an animal. God bless her.

derxa · 17/08/2020 19:30

I love Lamby but can't help you Sad

Babysharkdoodoodood · 17/08/2020 19:32

Hahaha. I had about 6 Tiggeys. It was a Ty beanie baby called Thor. I ended up getting the extras on eBay. Ds2 kept dropping them out the buggy.

I've actually got one left upstairs with a manky chewed tail. My eldest, bless him, bought me a big version with a slate and degree scroll when I got my degree.

I hope the link works!

This is funny as my son was bought a sheep “Sheepy” at birth from a friend.

He slept with it every night

He is 15 now AND STILL HAS IT IN HIS BED!!
It’s a black sheep now!!!

felicityheather · 17/08/2020 19:44

Well done ladies! Can't believe you both found it. I needed this today - the internet is amazing!

FlamingoAndJohn · 17/08/2020 19:45

I am now hugely invested and need to know if Lamby can be replaced.

itbemay1 · 17/08/2020 19:46

@aShinyNewUsername my 15 year old also has a lamb aka fluffy who is not so fluffy anymore!

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 20:01

@NCParanoia WOAH!!!! You found Lamby! I actually think I love you, you kind stranger! That is bloody amazing!!!!!

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 20:03

@Peapod67 I also love you!

This is so awesome, you both have to tell me how you found Lamby!

My daughter is going to be so pleased. I think I'm going to buy about 10 of them 😂 Should I buy more than that though?!

What are the chances she decides that Lamby isn't her favourite anymore?

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 20:04

@felicityheather The internet is truly amazing. I am so happy I posted :)

Mixingitall · 17/08/2020 20:07

Ahhh, I am so pleased you found a replica!

My son lost a Lamby (from mothercare) and we couldn’t find a replacement, he was devastated.

We bought him Elmo from h&m, it was the label and size he liked!

Elmo311 · 17/08/2020 20:10

They only have 2 of the Lamby replica in stock!
They're MINE (said in Gollum's voice)
