Having children has often felt the me like I’m holding a mirror up to myself, where i’m reflected in all my ugliness & glory. What have you learnt since having kids & do you feel better for it or are you still in the process of learning/change?

That any type of love I may have felt in the past is nothing compared to my love for her. I can find strength I never knew I had for her. I have more patience than before but still not enough.

How important it is to give a child a stable and loving home, and how difficult that actually is to do it consistently with thought and purpose.

Lastly I'm more thankful than I was before to my parents for all they did for me.

  • I'm a soft touch
  • to stay present as kids grow so quickly the moment is gone before you know it. I remind myself my son won't want to play with me in a few years
  • life is precious and joyful
  • I understand my parents better
