To ask how old you were when you first snogged someone

I’m talking propper snogging with tongues.

Was asked today by my 12yo dd and honestly couldn’t remember! Think it was somewhere around 14 but clearly wasn’t too memorable!

I was 6, a boy in my class took me in a playhouse and did it.

This is pretty disturbing. If a 6 year old child took another child out of sight and stuck their tongue in their mouths now we’d be investigating what was happening at home that such a young child would know how to “snog” another child and feel they had to take another child to a “private” place to do it. Quite sad, really.

Even in the 90s we’d often give each other a peck or a little kiss and pretend to be boyfriend or girlfriend but when a boy of around 7 stuck his tongue in another child’s mouth (and knocked her front teeth out) there was a pretty thorough investigation as to how he knew about, as our teachers put it, how “grown ups kiss each other”.

10. Me and a girl used to kiss each other but only on the lips. One day we tried actual an actual snog and neither of us liked it so we just went back to normal kissing. Not sure where we'd got the idea from or who's idea it was

14 was my second, also not terribly enjoyable

16 was the first time I really enjoyed it

I was 15 (nearly 16) and he became my first boyfriend

I remember it very clearly. Luckily he was a great kisser!

Did a LOT of kissing after that until I met my DH at 21.

Oh I wasn’t very old at all... maybe 10? It was just before secondary school I think. It wasn’t very nice Altho we did it every chance we got as it felt very grown up 🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ didn’t snog anyone else then until I was 15, I don’t think.

14, nearly 15. He was from the local boys school and all the girls in my year fancied him. I always considered myself a bit weird and geeky, def not part of the cool group, yet he took a shine to me. Ended up going out together for about 18 months ….. did absolute wonders for my confidence . This was early/mid 80s.

13 on holiday in Spain... parents let me go out with my older sister and my friend from school for a few hours to a bar, and I ended up snogging a 19 year old boy on the dance floor for most of it! Impressed a lot of my friends at school as luckily I had a witness to confirm said kiss had actually happened with an older boy. Sadly no one tried to kiss me for quite a few years after that, so my next kiss wasn't until I was 17 or 18 and was no where near as memorable as my first!

18! I was a late bloomer too. My two best friends were also 18.

Ooooh snogging, as in not just a kiss on the lips...God, um... 15? Maybe. I can't remember either tbh. I snogged a few boys around the 15 / 16 mark. I did kiss boys before that, but wouldn't describe it as snogging.

14, I remember he literally opened his mouth wide and ate my face was awful, was his first kiss too. I didnt kiss him again after that... Always gives me a memory to look back and giggle at though.
