To ask how old you were when you first snogged someone

I’m talking propper snogging with tongues.

Was asked today by my 12yo dd and honestly couldn’t remember! Think it was somewhere around 14 but clearly wasn’t too memorable!

17, and I certainly wasn't the last of my friends. I did worry I was just destined never to kiss anyone.

14. First date with a boy to the cinema on a Saturday afternoon. All was fine and decent until he walked me to my bus stop and came at me for a snog. It wasn’t good, teeth clashed and I was mortified in front of other people at the bus stop. Afterwards he just walked off home. At school on Monday( pre mobile era) I dumped him.

13. In my bedroom, for a dare. He was very sloppy and quite full on

17 was my first proper kiss, it was a guy in a club.

14. It was horrible, felt like a car wash in my mouth.

11 or 12. It was absolutely horrible, and he was a creep who should have known better.

11 and he'd just had a drumstick lolly. I still can't eat them now 🤮

13. But didn't have a kiss I enjoyed until I was 15.

13 - I was very unimpressed - it felt very emotionless.

15, but wasn't enjoyable. 16 was the first nice one.

14, with a guy that I didn't fancy, just to get it over and done with. It was pretty grim though. there then followed a hiatus of 18 MTHS as I recall. I genuinely have no idea who I snogged thereafter. By 16, I was a fairly accomplished snogger though, having started to attend discos at an all boys school!

16, I felt sooo old! Especially when my mum chuckled because she was about 14...😂

14 I think, outside a Nightwish gig at the old Astoria. It was good!

Tbh, I'd tell your daughter to just wait until she's 15/16 and bypass all the shite experiences. It's unlikely to be enjoyable until that age!

I was 14/15. I went to an all girls school so took me a while to notice the boys at the local boys school...

12, on holiday in Tunisia

I really fancied his best friend who was driving the car we were in at the time. I remember him looking in the rear view mirror and smiling slightly. In my head, it was a bittersweet smile full of jealousy, but more realistically it was probably a “FFS this is awkward” look

I spent the next 18 months kissing the driver though ❤️

14 I think. No idea what his name was but I remember he was blonde and it was while I was on holiday with my parents and all the teenagers hung with each other in the evenings.

Year 7, so was 12? I remember it being lovely

29. I thought I would win the thread but I'm pleasantly surprised to be one of many adult first-timers . Oh and we spent about 3 hours at it - I was making up for lost time - those were the days .

18. I too went to an all-girls grammar, so lack of boys around hindered me a bit . Finally snogged a friend of a friend in a club on A-level results day!

11 or 12 weirdly he now lives around the corner from me but I dont think he remembers me at all.

14. I was at a meet-up of people who all played the same MUD game online. Some of the 16-18 year old girls from school went and my mum allowed me to go with them because they were "nice, sensible girls."

He was 23 and he had ginger hair and no eyebrows because they'd been shaved off the week before at his older brother's stag do.

We went on to get married in the online game and stayed in touch until I went to college and eventually stopped playing.
