What a god awful programme! a badly behaved child who gets constant negativity and no love and support from his parents, who clearly favor his brother, great viewing for kids!!

His mum is obviously a raging alcoholic with her big purple nose and cheeks Grin

DD loved it so much she wrote an HH story when she was 7 all about HH setting up a band. I think Beefy Bert played the triangle and still couldn't hit the thing in the right place. I dunno...

The first 'proper' (as in not a picture book he'd heard so many times he'd memorised it) book DS1 willingly read was Horrid Henry and the Bogie (?) Babysitter. As such the books will always hold a special place in my heart. We met Francesca Simon at a book signing once. She was lovely.

@Saucery, you are a legend!

The film is excellent though and Henry is loved in that.

I commented about it being dated because I think it's of its time. Obviously it was still shit parenting in the 90s to massively favour one child over another but the way they do it with the punishments etc feels dated to me which makes it come across even worse.

Banned here too! I watched approximately 2 mins of one episode and thought "nope".

Not a fan of the show but the books have some really funny writing in them.
