...how you came up with your Mumsnet username?

I've seen some strange ones (one that stands out is JizzPigeon haha, strange is not a bad thing!) so I was curious as to how you came up with your names.

Inarightpickleandpreserve my inspiration was my nan!

AnneTwackie · 08/08/2020 01:19

Mine is a scouse mispronunciation of antique that my nana used to say to mean old fashioned i.e ‘ that dress is a bit Anne Twackie’

TwoZeroTwoZero · 08/08/2020 01:20

New Year 2020. I was at home, as always now on NYE, a bit bored and browsing mn when I decided on a namechange. Unfortunately quite a few people had the same idea so I ended up having to spell the numbers.

DramaAlpaca · 08/08/2020 01:20

When my DS was little he was having a bit of a tantrum about nothing in particular as toddlers do. I jokingly told him to stop being a drama llama.

He stamped his little foot and announced 'I'm not a drama llama, I'm a drama alpaca!'

daisychain1620 · 08/08/2020 01:21

I was going to start a thread about this too the other day but got distracted and forgot!
When my two were little they loved making me daisy chains whenever they went out so I always had window sills and tables with half dried and withered daisy chains. Loved these so much!

Erm....because when I grow up I want to be a strong female role model, who takes a solid stance on Women's Rights? Who donates so much money to charity, I'm no longer a billionaire. All whilst paying uk taxes.

There's still time for me to grow up at 46 isn't there?Grin

Dogssox · 08/08/2020 01:27

That's brilliant!

I love 'Anne Twackie' for antique!

Mine is based on an ancestor's name. I quite often think of other names I'd like to use, but am reluctant to lose this one.

EarringsandLipstick · 08/08/2020 01:34

Mine is simple - the 2 things I need each day to feel 'myself' & put together.

Pre-Covid & mask wearing, I loved my dramatic earrings & red lipstick. Earrings now get tangled in mask & obv red lipstick poses its own problems.

notangelinajolie · 08/08/2020 01:35

I have no idea. I really don't remember must have been drunk

hillbilly · 08/08/2020 01:37

I'm listening to the boys in the big bad city!Smile

Mine is Captain Mainwaring's wife from Dad's Army. You never saw her. I've always been interested in characters in TV shows that never actually appear.

NamesFromNowhere · 08/08/2020 02:02

I sometimes change mine to suit the topic Grin

Freewheelingto40 · 08/08/2020 02:02

I'm 39 😭

CodenameLevonelle · 08/08/2020 02:05

I name change a lot but I'm quite fond of this play on killing eve. The levonelle is a direct link to my work and anyone who can be arsed to trawl back would know what my job is. I'll change again soon. I may even resurrect a previous name as I have liked all the ones I've had

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/08/2020 02:06
