Loads of times lol. Dd1 is now 15 and had so many urinary/kidney infections (and actually does still have problems occasionally now) and dd2 who is 10 had plenty when she was younger for frequent ear infections and a few bouts of tonsillitis

TooLittleTooLate80 · 04/08/2020 08:38

I'd say 7-10 times up to the age of 6, each one for an ear infection which I eventually had a grommet inserted for. After that maybe only once or twice more. I'm a child of the 80's so at least I got that banana flavoured one...

Since you've asked my eldest was also on a prophylactic antibiotic and it eventually stopped working. This was one of the antibiotics that she was also generally given when she had an infection so it had to be switched. This was after about 12 years of having it frequently and 4 years low dose every day tho

Grapesoda7 · 04/08/2020 08:42

Eldest 3 times for chest infection, scarlet fever and when his foot swelled up after getting stung.

Dd had a couple of UTIs and scarlet fever.

Middle child just once for scarlet fever.

Mominatrix · 04/08/2020 08:48

DS1: once for an infected foot
DS2: none

LadyCatStark · 04/08/2020 09:06

DS had them at birth for a week and I feel like I’ve given him banana medicine before but I can’t remember why. It was probably for an ear infection which he gets regularly. He usually only has carpool for them though.

...

Five each I think (2 children). All before they were five (one ear infection, several bouts of tonsilitis and one bite got infected).

Bumpsadaisie · 04/08/2020 09:53

DD now 11 - perhaps twice as a toddler for ear infections?

DS now 9 - perhaps four times up to the age of 5 or so, for ear infections?

@tankflybos

And why are you all offering up personal information?
wow, realy significant information,
