ok.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 28/07/2020 16:21

Can you take ibuprofen? Far better for the fandango than Nutella. Combine it with a hot water bottle on your lower stomach, a watch of Muriels Wedding and some cheese on toast with Worcester sauce and you'll be right as rain.

Fishfingersandwichplease · 28/07/2020 16:25

Do it. I had a box of Milk Tray for breakfast not so long ago

GracieLane · 28/07/2020 16:28

I prescribe the strongest painkillers you can find, a hot water bottle and a hot chocolate with squirty cream and lots of mini marshmallows. Plus chocolate sauce. Also two bottles of pink wine, three pizzas, back to back romantic comedies, a giant tray of nachos with all the dips, profiteroles, a tub of Ben & Jerrys and a still slightly frozen mandarin cheese cake (or forest gateau, to each her own).

This should eliminate any need for Nutella eating. But if your still hungry, be my guest 😊

@GinDaddy thanks for the input

Can i share an embarrassing Nutella moment?
Ds showed me a man on fb who had apparently got a spatula with his 1 kg jar of Nutella.
So I sent dh out to buy me one...
No spatula.
I emailed Nutella my absolute disgust!!
*slight over exaggeration but you get my drift..
It was a spoof fb post.
Omg I cringed!!
They agreed to suggest a spatula via whichever dept takes suggestions... but I bet they really just pissed themselves laughing!!
Blush

tealandteal · 28/07/2020 17:54

I would combine it with something so you don't feel sick, bananas and pancakes?

Sakura7 · 28/07/2020 17:55

I really love Nutella too. I like to smooth it onto a digestive biscuit and dunk it in tea, it's so good. And better than eating it staight out of the jar as you'll consume less of it.

Keeva2017 · 28/07/2020 17:57

Do it! I’m calorie counting too but when that craving hits sometimes you just have to do it. I’m with you in spirit.

honeygirlz · 28/07/2020 17:58

YANBU, calories during period pain don’t count. I only like Nutella in pancakes and also melted as a sauce for strawberries.

FelicityPike · 28/07/2020 17:59

I did that once. Half a jar. Once it was nearly finished I put 2 scoops of ice cream in it and cleaned the jar.
Ended up with a migraine the next day, but a wee teaspoonful ends up in my belly a few times during my period.

MoominWoomin · 28/07/2020 18:00

I have too developed a Nutella addiction recently, it seems to come in phases Grin

SpeedofaSloth · 28/07/2020 18:00

YABU, I am sure you meant to say peanut butter.

MarcelineMissouri · 28/07/2020 18:00

It is unreasonable. You need the lotus biscoff chunky spread.

RedPanda2 · 28/07/2020 19:29

Just done the same with white chocolate spread. Mmmmmmm

Treaclepie19 · 28/07/2020 19:32

Yanbu. Enjoy!

Yesmate · 28/07/2020 19:34

Do it!

Davros · 28/07/2020 19:36

YABU because Nutella is the spread of the devil

JessStu · 28/07/2020 19:36

Have you considered using a twix to eat the Nutella, rather than a spoon?

I find a twix is also a good utensil to use when eating anything out of the jar / tub. Peanut butter, ice cream etc.

Hope you feel better soon OP. I also get the hunger around period time, no point fighting it, you can be healthy for the other 27 days a month.

Footlooseandfancy · 28/07/2020 19:39

Do it.

I had to search through the cupboard to find the Nutella jar only to discover my bastard husband had eaten it all. Pig.

KitKatKit · 28/07/2020 19:39

YANBU - do what you need to do to feel better!

JessStu · 28/07/2020 19:39

@GinDaddyRedux

Do you have anything useful to add?

You do realise that mumsnet is mostly female and period threads are going to pop up from time to time?
