I find that when the mid hits, Bread sticks dipped in Nutella does the trick!

Lemonyfuckit · 28/07/2020 19:49

Gosh now I'm really thinking about Nutella.....mmmmmmmmm. I think we have some at the back of the cupboard....

Do it OP - you've got to treat yourself to what you fancy when suffering period pain, and I hope you feel better.

Belledan1 · 28/07/2020 20:00

I make my DS scotch pancakes which I ping in microwave for 30 secs. Aldi do American ones now too. Then put nutella on them with squiry cream on top. Look delish. I am always trying to be good.

Belledan1 · 28/07/2020 20:01

Squirty cream sorry.

Keeva2017 · 28/07/2020 20:06

@JessStu I’m your people.

@GinDaddyRedux

If you don't 'get' a period thread, you know you're free to move on to something else. No need to be so obnoxious to the OP.

Holothane · 28/07/2020 20:13

Chocs for me and favourite dvds.

anon5000 · 28/07/2020 20:15

@GinDaddyRedux

If women talking about their periods offends you then fuck off to one of the 1000s of man forums on the internet.

ScarlettDarling · 28/07/2020 20:19

You would be very unreasonable if you didn't add crunchy peanut butter into the mix. Nutella and peanut butter on the same spoon will chase any period pains away.

makingmammaries · 28/07/2020 20:22

Unreasonable to use a spoon, obviously. It has to go on toast soldiers or else.

gingganggooleywotsit · 28/07/2020 20:27

@gindaddy such a troll

I've noticed @GinDaddyRedux on a few threads today with pithy repartee like "wow" and "ok" like it's a little beneath their intellectual capacity to even consider wasting their time on such lowly nonsense.

Yet they continue to remain on MN. It's a mystery.

I have recently discovered something to rival Nutella: M & M's Chocolate Spread. Chocolate spread with M & M pieces rammed in it. Delicious. In fact it helped stop my dieting a few days ago by making me eat all of it. It was so good! Grin
Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Pinkstars2501 · 28/07/2020 21:03

@JessStu bloody genius! How have I never thought of this?! Twix spoon with PB, surely the food of angels!

Thankyou

dudsville · 28/07/2020 21:06

Once a month i eat everything. My recent thing is a version of the American PB&J, i lightly toast the bread and thickly cover one in peanut butter and the other in nutella. BIG cup of milky tea. Period heaven.

What causes this intense, bottomless hunger?

SauvignonBlanketyBlank · 28/07/2020 21:54

I can recommend chocolate digestives used as a spoon for Rolo dessert.Orgasmic.

OP posts:
feelingsomewhatlost · 28/07/2020 21:56

It would be unreasonable of you to use a spoon tbh. A twirl or fingers would suffice.

overwork · 28/07/2020 21:56

No. Though, the Malteser's spread is even better Smile

Griefmonster · 28/07/2020 22:04

Chocolate and caffeine make my cramps and period headaches worse Hmm I've always felt quite sorry for myself when other women talk about mugs of tea and choco feasts to ease their pain...

UnfinishedSymphon · 28/07/2020 22:06

I have just used 4 plain breadsticks as carriers for my nutella. Like a massive Choc Dip

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 28/07/2020 22:10

Nutella is evil stuff (can't stand the hazelnuts.) M&S milk and cookies chocolate spread on the other hand... Gone in one sitting! Period pains are always best counterbalanced with plenty of chocolate in my opinion!

Holothane · 28/07/2020 22:29

I’m afraid chocolate hobnobs are my 👿 at the moment.

OnceBitten25 · 28/07/2020 23:02

@UnfinishedSymphon genius!

ChristmasCarcass · 28/07/2020 23:04

No don't eat it with a spoon. Spread it on toast and then put crunchy peanut butter on top, and you have snickers on toast.

But yes eat the whole jar, that part is fine.

CommunistLegoBloc · 28/07/2020 23:04

A man hath proclaimed this thread to be unworthy of Mumsnet. Disband, ye coven!

I fucking love Nutella. There's nothing quite like it when your period's due.
