Apparently it was the Policeman. We still debate this. AIBU?

There’s a man at my work who looks and has mannerisms like PC Plum.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 25/07/2020 21:31

My 31 yr old son screamed inconsolably while watching Brum.

yuckwallpaper · 25/07/2020 21:35

And there was a scary woman off Me Too!

Oldraver · 25/07/2020 21:36

I accidentaly watched Balamory one Monday morning after a very very long weekend clubbing

My fragile mind was traumatised. A year or so later was walking round an aisle in Woolies and came face to face with a Balamory DVD and it quite spooked me

I agree with him. Balamory is very scary

Noti23 · 25/07/2020 21:37

Bear in the big blue house used to freak me out as a child. The way that bear moved his neck *shudders...

IKEA888 · 25/07/2020 21:37

I was at school with Andrew Agnes Aka PC Plum..
However Susie sweet that is scarey!

IKEA888 · 25/07/2020 21:38

missmouse101 · 25/07/2020 21:39

I used to fancy PC Plum!

NC4Now · 25/07/2020 21:39

My 18 year old was terrified of Brum too! He used to switch the Tv off and leave the room.

He also had nightmares about the Number Taker

Hardbackwriter · 25/07/2020 21:40

@IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere

My 31 yr old son screamed inconsolably while watching Brum.
This makes it sound like this was at the age of 31?!

Tbf, I'm 33 and I find In the Night Garden unbelievably creepy to the point that it genuinely unsettles me, so I can't talk.

FiveToFour · 25/07/2020 21:42

My son used to freak out when adverts for The Night Garden came on.
And he had been happy going to bed,all was good until we watched an episode of The Tweenies explaining why you didn't need to be scared of going to bed in the dark....ConfusedGrin
But I watched Tots Tv once when off sick, pre children, and thought it was really sinister and disturbing.I loved it once I was watching it with the DC - it's all very odd!

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 25/07/2020 21:44

@Hardbackwriter that was indeed a misprint. He was 3. But now at the age of 31 he maintains it was still scary!

Thisismytimetoshine · 25/07/2020 21:47

No, he sounds quite a discerning young man. That Miss Hoolie was a right pain in the arse.

fuckinghellapeacock · 25/07/2020 21:48

Ok, maybe I am unreasonable but this young man made me watch Cape Fear again! and yet claims Balamory is worse!

I find it so weird that Miles Jupp of Radio 4, Mock the Week etc was in Balamory! I loved that program. I watched it when I was far too old Blush.

fuckinghellapeacock · 25/07/2020 21:49

I might have suggested it and got scared 10 mins in.....

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/07/2020 21:49

Troublesome Trucks and “Diseasal” from Thomas. I would launch myself across the room to fast forward before the screaming started.

Heatherjayne1972 · 25/07/2020 21:49

Tbf the number taker was meant to be scary
Spooky spoon was quite scary too

fuckinghellapeacock · 25/07/2020 21:50

@BranchAndPoppy that he is, and lovely with it

OP posts:
fuckinghellapeacock · 25/07/2020 21:51

@FiveToFour well the Tweenies was terrifying, the Jimmy Savile episode for starters.... fair play

My parents still torment me over my mortal fear of 101 dalmations. Still don't like the film!

Calibrachoa · 25/07/2020 21:53

The Number Taker was pretty scary!

strawberrymilkshakemonkey · 25/07/2020 21:55

i used to have nightmares about a show called bodger and badger. bloody terrifying. but not as bad as the lion and the bear from teletubbies. so trippy and weird, especially when they made the sky move really fast. gives me the shudders even now.
