My teen DD has just had an ASOS order - i said off the cuff, "what would you do if they weren't around", which resulted In 😱😱😱😱😱

With so many shops and restaurants in vulnerable positions, what would you really, really miss if they didn't pull through the next year?

Long Tall Sally has been saved!!! I am so happy I could dance (in all the new clothes and shoes that I bought in the closing down sale)

@PunishmentSnart

DS has just nearly fainted at the thought of ASK restaurants closing. I second ASOS actually - I hate shopping so order loads online then try on and send back. It’s very easy and quick there with loads of options. We tend to eat out at local restaurants a lot so I’d be upset if any of them went under (they shouldn’t coz I’ve also ordered many a takeaway from them Grin)
Our local ASK has closed - think they were struggling even before Covid struck.

I'll be very sorry if Monsoon goes.. they can be quite pricey but their sales are great.

I am just really worried about our high street.

Our council has spent millions on redevelopment only for shops to start shutting round the builders.

Our local shops seem to be doing alright, but if the big chains go, the rent will increase and those local shops will also go

Oh and Yours Clothing,

Online I shop a lot at Curvissa, so I hope they're ok

Ginfordinner · 18/08/2020 22:32

All of them. I don't want to only be able to order clothes online. I would be spending all of my time queuing in the post office to return stuff, or I would be wearing ill fitting, uncomfortable clothes and shoes.

I don't want all the retail staff to lose their jobs either.

I am unusual on here in that I quite like shopping. I like to look at and feel things. I want to be able to try things on (obviously I can't at the moment). I want to be able to make an instant decision and not have to faff around with online ordering and returning stuff.
