OP I agree with you 100% I'm fat (username kind of gives that away!!) but desperately trying to do something about it.
I have PCOS which makes that hard but I'm still trying slowly but surely.
I have 0% self esteem, I hate myself and every 'well meaning' comment, or 'well it doesn't really matter if fat people die of COVID, because frankly they brought it on themselves' comments on here, or the abuse shouted by (usually fat themselves) arseholes in vans or teenagers, just make it harder.
People really don't seem to be able to understand that people a) aren't stupid, the KNOW they are fat, they don't need anyone to tell them b) generally feel pretty shitty about it c) know it is unhealthy and they are at risk if various health conditions d) will most likely be tempted to eat because if the pain and humiliation of all this well meaning smug shit that thin people (particularly on mumsnet) seem to throw around so easily.
Will everyone just fuck off with the well meaning, 'I'm just worried about your health' comments, as it's (very blatantly) just an excuse to be a nasty judgy cunt, and get your mean girl tendencies out on the Internet. I just wish that people would understand that fat does not equal oblivious or stupid.
Frankly if any of you 'fatty bashers' have ever posted any kind of 'be kind' shit on social media you should take a long hard look in the mirror, and I hope you are ashamed of yourselves. If you aren't, then my only wish is that at some point in your life you get to be the subject of the same kind of treatment, so at least you may be able to understand
