Just that really

I would like to like my brother, but we have nothing in common. He’s not a horrible person, and I’m sure he would help me if I needed him, but we don’t relate to each other at all. It’s just polite conversation.

Adored mine although as adults we'd only see each other 3/4 times a year and had very different lifestyles. His death devastated more than any other including a parents.

Dh has complicated relationships with his. One was always fairly distant and they are low contact now. The other two he was very close to but then fell out with one and is no contact. The other we see fairly frequently but live a few hours away, both with young families etc so not as close as they were.

I didn't say that you had called anyone any names, I said that it was a nasty and vile comment. Which is is as you do not know the poster or their situation.
