You know, the ones you bellow out in private when noones looking, the ones you 'shouldn't' like because you are too young, too old, too hip, too old fashioned...
I'm 34 and bloody 'love islands in the stream' by Dolly Parton. I mean, I love it. I know every word. It gets turned up in the car...Blush tell me your best worst

Amy by Nell Bryden.

At the other end of the spectrum "I'm in the mood for dancing" by the Nolans.

vintageyoda · 04/07/2020 18:17

Martha's Harbour by All about Eve. Love it, sing it at the top of my voice when no one is in.

Mamette · 04/07/2020 18:17

Drops of Jupiter by Train 😳

SpeedofaSloth · 04/07/2020 18:18

Slight Return by The Bluetones. Sometimes I skip the track straight back to do it again.

SodOffCovid · 04/07/2020 18:18

Baby Now You're Gone by Bryan Adams and Sporty Spice. I can happily sing both parts and harmonise with myself.

SpeedofaSloth · 04/07/2020 18:19

Ooh, I haven't heard Martha's Harbour for years

LunaNorth · 04/07/2020 18:19

Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton.

I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues by Elton John.

Tiny Dancer by Elton John.

(I don't even like Elton that much).

What A Feeling by Irene Cara.

Rhinestone Cowboy by Glenn Campbell.

MylittleLovebug · 04/07/2020 18:19

Lisa lobe, stay. Always gets a good loud sing along

LunaNorth · 04/07/2020 18:20

Oooh, and Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters.

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye by Soft Cell

I cannot sing to save my life and my rendition of this song is unspeakably awful, but I love belting it out as loud as I can in the car.

DollyDoneMore · 04/07/2020 18:21

I don’t believe in guilty pleasure songs. Like what you like. Don’t be a snobby cow, especially with yourself!

Ilikewinter · 04/07/2020 18:21

Chers Just like Jessie James ... cracking lyrics!

SodOffCovid · 04/07/2020 18:22

Or Road rage by Catatonia.

SodOffCovid · 04/07/2020 18:22

@DollyDoneMore I'm not sure I'm taking it that seriously 😏

Islands in the stream by Dolly & Kenny always brings back very fond memories of a caravan camping holiday I went on with my family , I woke up to hear my DM & DD singing along to it , my DM often sang badly to the radio but I had never heard my DD sing before, it is a memory that will stay with me forever .

For me its Billy Joel , We Didn't Start The Fire , a fast paced song that takes a decent amount of breath control .

ILoveYou3000 · 04/07/2020 18:26

I have too many to mention. A couple of my favourites have already been mentioned:

Just Like Jesse James
I Guess That's why They Call it the Blues - I love this song! I have to stop whatever I'm doing and sing anytime it comes on.

Another is Rush Rush by Paula Abdul.

I could honestly be here all day listing my belt them out until the kids beg me to stop songs 😁

StCharlotte · 04/07/2020 18:26

@SpeedofaSloth

Ooh I'd forgotten that one - shreds my throat through.

I remember doing a long drive late at night and having Abba's "The Winner Takes It All" on repeat and yelling along. Fine on the motorways but I probably woke up half the village as I neared home.
