To think even on a hot night it's absurd to sleep with no covering?

Dh is snoring away, on top of the sheet we are using on the bed on this roasting night.

It's discombobulating. Clearly the man is a psychopath.

I've took the duvet out and sleep under the duvet cover. There's no insulation at all but I still get the feeling that something is covering me

I don't care how hot it is there is no way I could sleep without a duvet. OH thinks I'm nuts when I say something will get me otherwise

I slept naked, with a fan on full blast, with a duvet cover. I must have my neck and torso covered or I can’t sleep! Husband is the opposite, must wear pjs but doesn’t need a cover...

I cant sleep without any covers on, I will stick a foot out or both but I feel vulnerable without any on

Why do we feel so exposed without any covering? I mean... if someone was there, a duvet cover isnt stopping anything is it! 🤣

I agree, it makes me so nervous. I’ll stick my top half out and a leg out, but never altogether.

I’ve even been known to sleepwalk and get up to put knickers on when I’m sleeping naked - some deep seated issues here I think about being exposed...!

I spent the whole night without a sheet on. The only covering I had was a 19 year old cat wrapped round my head. She likes my memory foam pillow. I roll the duvet up lengthways and use it to lie back into otherwise the bed feels a bit weird with no sheets on.

I'll sleep with nothing at all over me if it's really hot. But it has to be a lot hotter than this - I'm on empty duvet cover right now.

I can’t sleep naked, I’d be too conscious of my fat bits to get to sleep 😳
DH on the other hand is always on top of the sheet naked, or walking around naked first thing in the morning making coffee 🤦‍♀️

Have to be covered, especially the feet, otherwise something will tickle the soles. Likewise any exposed neck area will attract vampires.

One of the joys of summer is being able to sleep with no covers and no PJs. Everyone, well everyone sensible, knows that monsters leave you alone when it's over 25 deg. c. They don't like the heat either.

You lot saying it's weird will change you tune when you hit menopause...

I’m just going to do a head count, to check that the reckless naked on top of the sheets sleepers, have survived the night.

I pushed the cover completely off me last night and slept naked it's just do much more comfortable if the sweat can evaporate completely. Dh was covered from the waist down and had boxers on as he "doesn't like his bits exposed wine he sleeps"

One of the reasons I have portable air con in my room is so I can sleep with a cover and not be too hot! Sleeping with nothing covering me just feels weird and uncomfortable. Ex and I had countless arguments about me "wasting money" by running it when in his mind I could just switch it off and sleep on top of the covers. I got rid of the ex and kept the air con (not the only reason of course but now I can do what I like!).

YANBU sleeping with your feet out is just wrong!

The monsters can't get you as long as you are under the covers. Fact.

It’s reckless people like you, that put strain on the NHS! 😡 They’re the ones left tending to you and stitching you up, when the monster under the bed/in the wardrobe gets you, because you’ve slept without your monster repelling sheet! Reckless, totally reckless! 😱

I slept in the cellar last night as it was lovely and cool. Very hard floor though.

A very cool shower before bed, sleeping with damp hair, naked on top of sheet here. Too hot to care.

I'm with you OP. Have argued with every single partner I've ever had and my DD over this. However hot it is I can't be comfortable without a cover.

I brought two single sheets for this weather. That way you can do what you like with your own sheets. X
