Why are ASDA normalising paedophilia and Child Abuse?

Sunkisses · 16/06/2020 08:02

Is it OK for ASDA to send parents emails linking to an organisation that normalises paedophilia with red flag phrases such as "love has no age", and recommending books for children that contain explicit descriptions of child sex abuse? Why are they doing this? Are ASDA experts in home schooling and safeguarding? More details in this excellent thread by Safe Schools Alliance: twitter.com/SafeSchools_UK/status/1272638132589035520

Crickey, they really did slip that love has no age limit quite insidiously!

I'm always cautious writing off a book based on an excerpt rather than the whole work, but this is exactly why I trust teachers in schools, rather than a supermarket, with my child's education!

What could they possibly mean by love?

Oh wait..

That "game" is from a pack for schools written by the an organisation called the "Proud Trust". It is suggested that teachers might play this with a class of children from 13 year upwards. Frankly any adult using that with children in schools is likely to be committing a criminal act under one of the sexual offences laws. But that doesn't seem to stop any of these adult pressure groups currently targeting schools Sad

We know that 1 in 3 children wear George school uniform, so we believe we have a real role to play when it comes to their education in diversity and inclusion.

? Children wear our uniform so we're going to give them diversity education we approve of? Without any safeguarding knowledge or qualification to play such a "real role" in children's education indoctrination

I buy their own brand baked beans and didn't get past C at GCSE maths, could they perhaps branch into adult learning?

Why on earth organisations like Asda are not exercising due diligence and checking backgrounds is really worrying. Any adult group wanting to talk to children about sex, sexuality, sexual identity, sexual development needs to be properly qualified and fully safeguarding compliant. And they're evidently not.

Is Safe School Alliance a charity? Does anyone know more about them?

One thing we could all do is to donate to Safe School Alliance to support their critical watchful stance on our kids' education.

They are a grassroots parents and teachers group with concerns that safeguarding children is being undermined by adult agendas.

No, it just means you’re the cheapest supplier, nothing else. What next, Bic biros teaching kids about sport?

Asda would do better to produce materials about their own food chains for children rather than becoming the conduit for more questionable material beyond their remit.

They would do more for under performing children by helping out with the vouchers for children on FSM.

Asda is not the place to go for Relationships and Sex Education. (Also there appears to be a "RSE Day" on the 25 June - probably a good day to highlight issues with learning packs)

OMG!

A ‘Resource Pack’ that includes an account of someone describing themselves as ‘sexually mature’ at 6, and engaging in oral sex?

For fuck’s sake.

Body Shop: sell over-scented products. Source your materials well Treat your staff fairly. That is your job. Don’t tell us how to live.

Asda: sell groceries and stuff. Source responsibly, treat your staff fairly, do your own job. We have schools, trained educators etc to provide education packs. STAY IN YOUR AISLE!

It’s part of a wider agenda. It’s absolutely horrific.

Glad to see more of us joining the dots.

Some children wear our uniform so we have the right to groom them and politically indoctrinate them into extremism. Without qualification or mandate.

Because some of our highest level staff are political extremists with a fucking great problem between their ears and no grip on reality.

Urgh. Diversity 'Role Models' (sic) who partnered with Asda defended their "love knows no age" slogan yesterday with a tweet that basically says "Grooming's OK. We've been doing it for 5 years and people have only just noticed". Why are ASDA partnering with this seriously dodgy organisation?

They are using LGBTWhatever as the trojan horse for this, it has been a strategy for years.

When this finally crashes down in scandal, and we're close now, LGB people will be tarred with the same brush and decades of work on gaining social understanding that being gay doesn't equal being sexually perverted or a risk to anyone or trying to groom children will have been undone.

Safe Schools Alliance legally challenge schools where child safeguarding is not being adhered to. Recently 16 local authorities and even the CPS have had to take down gender identity based "schools toolkits" for legal review/revision as they were likely to be subject to a court challenge for failing to safeguard female pupils and respect their rights.

I knew nothing about the proud trust until now, and I’m horrified. I’m more than horrified that Asda and others are taking recommendations from groups that are not checked re safeguarding.

It’s absolutely shocking. So much work has gone into safeguarding and Asda as a trusted brand will be given credibility by many parents.

Also, whoever the proud trust are, why isn’t safeguarding at the core of their work? Every single Organization directed at or working with children must have safeguarding at its heart. I thought that was law?
