To ask about toilets...

If you have more than one loo do you have rules about which ones are for number twos? I've see a lot of "don't poo in the downstairs loo" signs on Instagram and just wondered if this is a thing now?

No.

TooTiredTodayOk · 13/06/2020 17:02

We don't poo in the downstairs loo. We do use that loo, but if we need a poo we go to our own bathrooms.

Sparklesocks · 13/06/2020 17:03

Either or in both our toilets. That’s what they are there for. Theyre not ornamental.

JeanSlatersSausageSurprise · 13/06/2020 17:03

If anyone poops in my en suite, they're dead. But I don't venture out of my bedroom often, so with it having no ventilation it's a kindness for people to use the main bathroom Grin

IwishIhadaMargarita · 13/06/2020 17:03

No poo in downstairs loo. Is too close to my kitchen.

GracieLane · 13/06/2020 17:04

I always thought it would be the other way round, if anything

TrickyKid · 13/06/2020 17:05

Our downstairs loo doesn't have a window to open so we don't use it for poos unless desperate and the other loo is occupied.

GracieLane · 13/06/2020 17:06

Proximity to the kitchen makes a lot of sense. I've always been more concerned about how close baths tend to be to toilets, though.

No

bigbluebus · 13/06/2020 17:07

Free to do whatever toiletting you need to do in any of our 4 toilets (1 ensuite and 1 downstairs loo off utility room). It's what toilets were meant for.

DontTouchTheMoustache · 13/06/2020 17:16

It's just me and 4 year old ds so as long as poo ends up in a toilet I'm happy.

StoneSourFan · 13/06/2020 17:20

My rule is no number 2s in the the downstairs loo. It's not far from my kitchen, just a little utility in between them! I don't even change my babies nappy downstairs! Xx

Oysterbabe · 13/06/2020 17:24

The only rule, although unspoken, is we don't poo in the ensuite if the other is in bed or about to go to bed.

Fifthtimelucky · 13/06/2020 17:25

I don't have an official rule, but I don't like poos downstairs as the loo is right by the front door.

alphabetsoup1980 · 13/06/2020 17:36

I'm jealous of all these downstairs toilets tbh 😅😅 One toilet upstairs!! X

bridgetreilly · 13/06/2020 17:42

No. I think it's absolutely ludicrous to have toilets that aren't allowed to be used for their intended purpose. Everybody poos, just get over it.

SmileEachDay · 13/06/2020 17:43

We don't poo in the downstairs loo. We do use that loo, but if we need a poo we go to our own bathrooms

Do you live in an actual mansion?

PopsicleHustler · 13/06/2020 17:51

It doesn't matter to me. Bit if you have done a drink bomb, make sure you open the windows, spray air freshener and chuck toilet cleaner down the loo to make my life easier. We have two toilets upstairs and downstairs

Nickname21 · 13/06/2020 17:52

Doesn't everyone have their own personal toilet to poo in?

How common to have to share a toilet.

PopsicleHustler · 13/06/2020 17:52

But if you have done a stink bomb* bloody predictive text

justanotherneighinparadise · 13/06/2020 17:55

No rules but I do notice people gravitate to their favourite toilets to poo. I’m the only one who actually cleans all the toilets 😬

dementedpixie · 13/06/2020 17:55

we don't poo in the ensuite toilet as its close to the bedroom.

UncleShady · 13/06/2020 17:57

No one poos in my ensuite except me.

DS2 has to use VIP poo in whatever toilet he uses because otherwise the entire house will smell.

Northernsoullover · 13/06/2020 18:00

My mother has a no number 2 in the downstairs loo rule. Its a bit embarrassing as you may as well take out a full page advert telling everyone your intentions when you have to go upstairs Blush

MidsomerMum · 13/06/2020 18:01

Even if I did want to enforce this, no one in this house would adhere to it, not least because one of us has an IBD. Our old house was a Victorian terrace with only a bathroom downstairs anyway!
