I need to cut my lawn. Do you think I'll need to do it again before the winter?

The snail had gone this morning.

Slubberdegullion · 24/09/2007 11:39

Thanks for the update Rusty.

RosaLuxembourg · 24/09/2007 12:39

I was thinking I might need a new potato peeler soon. Or I could just stick with baked potatoes. What do you think?

slowreader · 24/09/2007 12:56

New potato peeler. Because of mash.

I have one with a lime green handle.

RosaLuxembourg · 24/09/2007 13:39

Lime green a bit racy for me.

Elasticwoman · 24/09/2007 13:39

RosaLuxemburg what makes you identify with some one who was assassinated and thrown in the river nearly a hundred years ago?

RosaLuxembourg · 24/09/2007 13:43

Rosa, champion of the working class - that's me.

ElenyaTuesday · 24/09/2007 13:48

My potato peeler has a very odd handle - it looks like it has cord wrapped around it. Oh, that might be a tiny bit interesting........

I'm quite sad to hear that the snail has gone.

slowreader · 24/09/2007 14:35

I know the sort you mean, Elenya. I think they may have been invented in Yorkshire.

I have a new clothesline prop but it is raining so cannot try it out.

Blandmum · 24/09/2007 14:36

It is wet out with us as well.

That lesson on Chi squared was dull!

You need to do a practical. Pity the grasshopper season is over.

slowreader · 24/09/2007 14:42

Sorry didn't mean to sound interested.

Blandmum · 24/09/2007 14:43

shame on you

I have a pink pencil on my desk

ChippyMinton · 24/09/2007 14:44

I made flapjacks today. Nice shade of brown

slowreader · 24/09/2007 14:48

Now I want to go and make flapjacks instead of working (this is working).

I don't think I have seen a pink pencil for years.

ElenyaTuesday · 24/09/2007 14:48

slowreader, I have a Yorkshire potato peeler? That's almost interesting.

It is not raining here at the moment so I may do some washing.

ChippyMinton · 24/09/2007 14:49

DD has a pink pencil with an unidentifiable animal on the top. Shall i post a picture?

ChippyMinton · 24/09/2007 14:51

No, i am going to browse the lakeland catalogue instead.

slowreader · 24/09/2007 14:52

Well Elenya you had better do it quick because it is coming over very black from the West.

EffiePerine · 24/09/2007 14:57

DH reminded me that we have a local chap who collects the serial numbers on lamp posts and Clancy Docwra diggers.

slowreader · 24/09/2007 15:02

EP I can completely understand that in fact might start doing it myself. Having just rushed out in the rain to look at local lamp post (S9724)
Back to work

EffiePerine · 24/09/2007 15:07

ah but he has assistants. Last seen with team of small boys near diggers. He asked Dh to helpwith the lamp posts but was told to bugger off

ElenyaTuesday · 24/09/2007 15:11

"it is coming over very black from the West"

Oooh, that's a bit exciting - I suppose it will rain just as I'm collecting the children from school - oh, I should be doing that right now.........................................

EachPeachPearPlum · 24/09/2007 15:32

I think I may also need a new potato peeler. I noticed when I was peeling apples yesterday that it's just not as sharp as it used to be. But I think I would like the new one to match my tin opener, which is black and silver.
