admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

OP posts:

I am not fat, i am curvaceous !

Lorayn · 23/09/2007 20:40

DAMN!
I had a score of 280, which was only 20 below having a coat of arms, instead I am uneasily middle class, apparently.
Luckily I know how to leave my napkin and eat a bread roll.
Taluls mum, you should read 'watching the english' by kate fox, such a wonderful book in the guise of discussing englishness instead points out all the ways to not show your real class.

vacua · 23/09/2007 20:40

there's lots of class confusion on this thread, I prefer U and non-U - much easier

Ambi · 23/09/2007 20:41

[dense emoticon] I thought that working class is people who worked - oh dear, I must be dreadfully common you know

Tortington · 23/09/2007 20:43

everyone but uber rich works. unless claiming benefits or retired

so that can't be a edefiniton

FrannyandZooey · 23/09/2007 20:44

Oh gosh

precis please? (Is Aitch around, she gives good precis)

and why did someone think it was me?

kidsrus · 23/09/2007 20:48

troll started a thread about middle class boringness... ie all of mumsnet

got picked up on for having a fag

i got called a bully and fat

then JV and teh OP got lots of messages deleted

then haychee arrived to reclaim her place as most vilified mumsnetter

then it became who is the biggest chav

then you and custy arrived

not as pithy or as punchy as aitch, but i cannot be good at everything !

FrannyandZooey · 23/09/2007 20:50

what did JV and OP say that got deleted? [nosy]

ruty · 23/09/2007 20:50

One asks for the 'loo' rather than the 'toilet', surely, but then haven't read it..

CatIsSleepy · 23/09/2007 20:50

lulumama a fat bully?

have fallen into a parallel universe...

lulumama · 23/09/2007 20:51

dunno, i parped and went off to iron....

FrannyandZooey · 23/09/2007 20:51

and was TheUrbanDryad being snarky about me? I couldn't tell, sorry if being dense

lulumama · 23/09/2007 20:52

PMSL wabbit

am going to ask MNHQ to delete my crapola precis

3andnomore · 23/09/2007 20:56

lol Franny...

hm...took the classy test...and well scored 200, which either makes me cheerful lower class or uneasy middle class... that really helps me to define myself then, lol...

and agree, money doesn't make middle class, really...there is surely more to it...and well having money also doesn't exclude someone from being chavtastic...see Peter and Jordan, lol...

LOL LL.

FrannyandZooey · 23/09/2007 20:59

"Haychee comes on and agrees with OP - quelle surprise - and says she herself is hated but not boring.

Lots of MNers say "no, you are boring, not hated" "

LOL I like that bit

oh well I hope not as I like TheUrbanDryad and hope she would not have a problem with me but I found her post confusing

apologies for fixating on the one post out of 500 which mentions me

haychee · 23/09/2007 20:59

LL
But the essence of my previous post was not about how much i think i may or may not be hated.
It was about, not tarring everyone with the same brush, and just because someone else may not be the same class or have the same lifestyle doesnt mean that they are always boring.

Why twist my post? Everyone leaped on that one tiny part of my post and disregarded anything positive i said.

lulumama · 23/09/2007 21:00

franny , it was all about meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Tortington · 23/09/2007 21:00
