admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

i may well be boring, but middle class????? i wish

Boco · 23/09/2007 14:57

I know loads of mnetters who are into streetfighting and gabba and secret russian roulette clubs and the most extreme fetishes you could imagine.

You should come to our russian roulette fetish gabba club mumsnet meet up if you like? We tend to talk about packed lunches though.

Oh Talulasmum, Please come back. We miss you. You and your thread were so interesting .

lissielou · 23/09/2007 15:20

she's probably giving talula her fruit shoot and greggs sausage roll

pagwatch · 23/09/2007 15:21

my mater used to say that those who are bored are generally just boring .

Aitch · 23/09/2007 15:25

definitely a 14-year-old boy.

JeremyVile · 23/09/2007 15:27

Nah - I say a namechanger.

But really, this thread is not going to go into the namechange/wind-up hall of fame is it?

Poor show.

moljam · 23/09/2007 15:28

i love these threads.

i am boring.

lissielou · 23/09/2007 15:30

i loved the G&T wind up, think it was either rhubarb or sherlock/bree.

talulasmum · 23/09/2007 15:33

right, as ive stuck talula in frount of cartoon network with a pot noodle, i will try and explain why i started the thread. i didnt mean to upset all you toffs i was hoping other working class mums would rally round, and maybe we could have our own section; WORKING CLASS ISSUES; we could discuss things like; "why mums go to iceland" "our life on benefits" "bratz dolls" but sadly all i got was you lot telling me to F.off !

theUrbanDryad · 23/09/2007 15:35

i agree with JV - deffo a namechanger, but sadly not one of the all time greats (although WanderingTrolley has made me spray Ribena across my laptop several times today, so thanks for that! )

WanderingTrolley · 23/09/2007 15:36

I think you'll find we toffs don't want you working class types conversing. We fear an uprising. Who will water the silverware, walk the roses and polish the dog? You'll end up forming - ugh, can barely type it - unions and imagining you have rights.

Oh dear.

I feel unclean now.

Cammelia · 23/09/2007 15:37

You must of bin lookin for scumsnet dahlin'

lissielou · 23/09/2007 15:37

know your place, there's a dear

Lauriefairycake · 23/09/2007 15:38

Ok,
I'll answer you.

I've never been to Iceland

Bratz dolls are hideous - and their outfits are better than mine

I'm poor (but not on benefits)

theUrbanDryad · 23/09/2007 15:39

talula - are you Jessie Wallace?

Lauriefairycake · 23/09/2007 15:39

Laughing my asss offff at scumsnet !!!!

How about 'Chavsnet' ??

RustyBear · 23/09/2007 15:40

OK, now you've probably managed to piss off both midddle class and working class mums with your stereotypes - let's go for the hat-trick...
What are your views on upper class mothers, talulahsmum?

ChantillyLace · 23/09/2007 15:44

I'm WC and proud of it!!

Never shop in Iceland (food is crap)

Hate Bratz dolls

Not on benefits (though could sometimes do with the help)

I do refer to the old man as DH on here cos that's what we do, I'm sure noone actually says 'dear husband' in real life, apart from those at Trolley Towers.

Incidentally, are there any jobs going at the Towers?? (doffing my car as I speak ma'am!)

moljam · 23/09/2007 15:45

this is one of the most lame namechanger wind up threads ive read.

Cammelia · 23/09/2007 15:46

It's barely limping

lissielou · 23/09/2007 15:47

chantillylace, my dh would dearly like a new maid. the last one got into a touch of bother, poor ignorant girl pray tell, are you of an ample bosom?

talulasmum · 23/09/2007 15:52

not looking to upset anyone, just want a more diverse forum, i too sense an uprising, ! ! maybe mumsnet will start advertising the argos catologue.
