Obviously lighthearted but also a dilemma.

We acquired a beautiful set of free bunk beds for our dc from a local selling site. Completely free. We don’t have much to offer in return and the guy looked like a lovely older middle class hippy type. We have a lot of decent weed on us.

I think it would be just what a bloke like him in lockdown would really want but dh isnot so sure.

Those that used to enjoy a smoke but have nothing on them in lock down. Wouldn’t this be a lovely thank you?

You don't know his circumstances, he might be a recovering addict. Giving up weed was one the hardest things I've ever done but it was essential for my mental health. The only setback I had was when a 'friend' gave me a birthday card with a couple of spliffs in it. It's not a benign little drug. It's very different to a glass of wine or a brandy it hospitalises people with psychosis, damages mental health is widely used to fund terrorism and is instrumental in the training of terrorists. the5 production and distribution causes death and violence world wide. You need to educate yourself.

I care actually, for lots of reasons. Mostly because the kids I work with have a horrible smoking habit by the time they are 15. Its illegal, how does that make an appropriate gift for sone one you don’t know?

We've smoked weed before and had it in our house when the kids have been here (smoked when they aren't).

It was in our bedroom, in a tin, in my wardrobe. My kids never saw it, never smelt it, never touched it, never even knew it was there. It wasn't left on the floor or kept in a little bowl on the dining room table.

But people have no problem with keeping a bottle of wine/vodka on the kitchen shelf

I've smoked it before with DH, when the kids aren't here. We didn't just light up a spliff whilst the kids sat next to us 😂

Do it. Ask him if he smokes first. He may seem the type but you never know if he may have stopped.

Why don’t you ask him if he smokes weed? If he says no then don’t, if he says yes, then ask if he has his own, and if he says no then gift him.

I might “seem like the type” but I’m so strait laced id be a bit shocked to be offered a spliff. I’ve never tried them or any drugs. Honestly it would make me very uncomfortable. I have friends who also “seem the type” but are so vehemently anti-drugs they might call the police on you. They have an older relative who is a recovering addict who could relapse if given a spliff in a moment of weakness.

So I think it’s a bad idea.
