Just that.

Have you had something done that was worth it, and why?

Could be teeth whitening, skin peel, fillets, Botox, or even cosmetic surgery?

Curious to see what has worked for others.

Great thread! I had Zoom teeth whitening years ago and it was definitely worth it - looks great and really makes a difference to your appearance.

Active skincare stuff like vit c and retinol also both definitely worth it (and both pretty cheap nowadays).

Am currently looking into PRP facials.

Would be good to hear if anyone has had that done!

SiaPR · 03/06/2020 00:39

LVL is good. I have long lashes but they look longer and darker after this, it lasts a good while as well. I had zoom teeth whitening but did not think it was any better than crest white strips.

Railingsohno · 03/06/2020 00:41

Fillers, volume hair extensions, retinol, teeth whitening (although need to do again)

All natural me Grin

B1rdbra1n · 03/06/2020 00:50

Yes all of them 😊👍

AuroraBore · 03/06/2020 01:01

Electrolysis as it stopped me having to pluck my eyebrows every day! Now I can go two or three weeks before I notice they need doing.

Bonzabaybee · 03/06/2020 01:06

Should add - the zoom was v good, but have also found it possible to get comparable results with home bleaching kits.

ShowPicturesOfLifeNotDeath · 03/06/2020 01:09

Once had a full style consult complete with colour advice. Thought it was a bit expensive at the time but it has saved me a fortune over the years in clothing mistakes. Now really confident about what suits me and what doesn't and I think it helped me look more together from then on.

Mascaramademehappy · 03/06/2020 01:26

@Railingsohno you are my people 😂

Bluewavescrashing · 03/06/2020 01:47

Invisalign to straighten teeth. Worth every penny.

PawPawNoodle · 03/06/2020 01:51

getting my lips done. I'm itching to get them done again!

DianneWhatcock · 03/06/2020 01:59

Botox!

allfurcoatnoknickers · 03/06/2020 02:29

Really fucking expensive highlights at Bumble and Bumble, visit to a dermatologist and Retin-A prescription.

You are my people. I spend a shedload to look like I've done nothing at all Grin.

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 03/06/2020 02:35

Teeth whitened and electrolysis, waxing and other hair removal. Massages, facials, reflexology.

I think everything has been worth it but some treatments have been better than others. Facials and threading hair removal have been the most variable.

stopgap · 03/06/2020 02:57

Fillers
Botox
Morpheus
PRP Vampire facelift
Latisse
Teeth whitening
Tazorac prescription
LED mask I use nightly at home

Pickles89 · 03/06/2020 03:03

Teeth whitening was definitely worth it. I also had my teeny tiny incisors 'built up' with composite - they're still smaller than average but not startlingly so. I'm glad I had them done but the dentist made a far better job of one of them than the other, which is a shame. I didn't have the confidence to complain!

notangelinajolie · 03/06/2020 03:16

Electrolysis on my top lip 30 years ago. Not a single hair grew back.

steff13 · 03/06/2020 03:20

I regularly get:

Haircolor/highlights
Eyelash extensions
Pedicure
Wax (eyebrows and bikini area)

user1473878824 · 03/06/2020 03:22

Laser hair removal. It changed my entire life which sounds so ridiculous but I was in tears over my bikini line which kindly had a little (ha!) tendril up to my belly button. Even after I shaved my armpits they looked like desperate Dan’s chin. It hasn’t completely gone but it made a huge difference. When I started getting thick black hairs all around my jaw line I instantly had it. Before then I had acne and couldn’t stand near anyone sitting at work in case they noticed. Still have a few hairs but all of it increased my confidence so much.

Guineapigbridge · 03/06/2020 03:35

No. I don't even blow dry my hair in the morning as I CBA.

LuckyAmy1986 · 03/06/2020 04:02

Invisalign and eyelid surgery. Both expensive, both worth it. Wanted and saved for both for years beforehand.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 03/06/2020 04:07

Botox and fillers - I don’t look “done” either just a tad more “fresh”. I will say brazillian blow drys have literally changed my life though. So much less time spent on drying and straightening hair!

Kaathesnake · 03/06/2020 04:19

Botox!! - soooo worth it
Been having it done since 2007 and have it about 3 times a year. It gives my eyebrows and whole forehead a gentle lift, I can still raise my eyebrows, just not frown. I just look... fresher? Not so weary? 🤷‍♀️ Better, anyway!

Teeth whitening... my dentist made moulds of my teeth and I just put the bleach gel in & go for a nap whenever they need doing. Cost £250 about 10 years ago... again, worth every penny

I have my nails done (acrylics) every 3 weeks, although none on during lockdown.. mine have grown back themselves nicely but only cos I’m on furlough!

I usually have highlights every 4/5 months but in summer my hair catches the sun so don’t really need them at the moment. They cover my increasing grey☹️

I wouldn’t be without any of the above, they make me feel like ‘me’ and the best version I can be!
I also take HRT ... they have made a massive difference to how I feel, and therefore, how I look.

grey12 · 03/06/2020 04:23

Terth straightening! Good old fashioned braces here, late 90s, early 2000. Started actually smiling Grin

Marahute · 03/06/2020 04:57

Semi permanent eyebrows
Japanese hair straightening

roombadoyourthing · 03/06/2020 05:08

@Marahute what is Japanese hair straightening? I had a Brazilian blow out which did nothing for my hair. Also had lash lift and tint which didn't work well on my lashes. I think it must be my hair type.

I'm planning teeth whitening and Botox. I want to get one of those home ipl things so I can zap all my hair.
