Just that.

Have you had something done that was worth it, and why?

Could be teeth whitening, skin peel, fillets, Botox, or even cosmetic surgery?

Curious to see what has worked for others.

I'm contemplating getting lip fillers, I'm really unhappy with my lips, and overall appearance really. I'm really after some brilliant skincare, I'm 32 and suffer from combination skin and adult acne, the drain on my confidence is astonishing

HavelockVetinari · 03/06/2020 12:35

I had invisalign and teeth whitening - both really worth it. Also botox - I would definitely recommend!

AnnaBanana333 · 03/06/2020 12:38

I go for facials every few months. I don't think they do much for my skin but I go for the pampering and relaxation, so worth every penny.

Heidi1976 · 03/06/2020 13:05

I use retinols etc on my skin.
Tint and wax eyebrows
Occasionally get LVL (makes my eyelashes go a bit wonky after a while though so don't do it too much, normally for holidays) I do use Revitalash a lot though to keep them longer
Gel nail extensions (when I can get them done!) and gel polish on toes
Crest white strips on teeth. I've had them Zoom whitened before but like others said, the white strips are just as good and a lot cheaper

I am looking to get a nose job, tear trough fillers, chemical peel/dermaplaning and MPL treatment on some thread veins on my face when everything is back open again! I'm considering getting some composite build up on the two teeth next to my front teeth as they are a bit small and look a bit weird when I smile.

Bonzabaybee · 03/06/2020 19:59

I want to hear more on this thread! Bump ^

Tdaadfb100 · 03/06/2020 20:05

What’s LVL?

Botox, hair straightening and keratin great.
I also do face yoga method (.. and yoga. The best!)

dementedma · 03/06/2020 20:10

Dermabrasion left my skin looking and feeling amazing. Will definitely get that again.
Regular lip and eyebrow wax. Nothing else but toying with Botox for frown lines. Am a bit scared though

Twattergy · 03/06/2020 20:44

Fake lashes make you look 10 year younger and so much prettier. Only last about 4 weeks a pop and rip out your real lashes but I get them done for special occasions. Really worth it!

Pickles89 · 03/06/2020 21:46

@dementedma Microdermabrasion was like having my face rubbed with coarse sandpaper for me! Horrible!

hulahooper2 · 03/06/2020 21:52

Lip fillers , to fill out thinning lips , look totally natural , not like a trout pout , can’t wait to get them done again 😊

icanbreathagain · 03/06/2020 21:56

Botox and microblading on the eyebrows!

Stampy84 · 03/06/2020 22:08

@Tdaadfb100

I do this for a living, LVL is a natural way of lifting your lashes, given extra volume and length without using extensions.. they look amazing and last 6-8 weeks! Even people who think they have no lashes, end up with beautiful ones

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 03/06/2020 23:52

Botox! I've wasted so much time and money on cream to help smooth my 11s. Botox is just amazing and I have a light touch so just look less pissed off.

I want my teeth done too but might just do the Crest whitestrips.
Really considering lip fillers too as my top lip disappears when I smile.

B1rdbra1n · 03/06/2020 23:53

I keep thinking about teeth whitening but I'm worried that it would be detrimental to the enamel and I'm bit obsessive about my teeth🤦🏼‍♀️

Chootchoot · 03/06/2020 23:54

I went into a dry flotation tank experience (11 months after divorce).
Had an amazing peaceful experience. This inspired me to begin meditating.
.
FOUR MONTHS LATER completely healed of eczema on my FACE, scalp, shoulders, back' bum, legs, arms and even hands. I feel human and not like a gargoyle.
It's so wonderful to have skin. Every day feels beautiful.

B1rdbra1n · 03/06/2020 23:55

Floatation tank wow 🤩
(I've never heard of a dry one🤔)
I tried to meditate but I'm just useless 🤦🏼‍♀️

dialmformmmm · 04/06/2020 00:00

Wow. Great answers everyone.

Sounds like a lot of Botox converts. I'm tempted do good to hear others experiences.

I went into a dry flotation tank

This sounds like Harry Potter's understair cupboard that Hagrid had to rescue him from.

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace

That is like saying look at the cake I made courtesy of Delia!

YOU made that happen!

Fivefootoffun · 04/06/2020 00:44

@Quarantimespringclean - your eyebrows are amazing! Definitely want this done post lockdown.

DianneWhatcock · 05/06/2020 08:23

What are these crest white strips pp have mentioned? I have used tooth whitening strips but don't think they were crest and they've all been shit!

blablabla25 · 05/06/2020 08:27

Gel over my real nails, stops then breaking and always look lovely. Get them done every 4 weeks.

Invested in Olaplex Shampoo, Conditioner and Bonding Oil. My Hairdresser uses it on me and it leaves your hair so shiny and soft.

Eyebrow threading.

The Ordinary skin care range, so cheap but works wonders!

MoltenLasagne · 05/06/2020 08:31

Someone bought me an airport Clarins facial treatment for my honeymoon and it made such a difference to the quality of my skin - planes normally really dry it out and give me spots. It honestly makes me sad when I fly somewhere without one now.

Whattodotho · 05/06/2020 08:34

Yuko japenase hair straighting. Hair now always smooth and silky and my hair previously was this. My hair before and after in pic attached

Botox a close second
Loved loved lvls but it ruined my eyes so can't have it anymore as now have chronic dry eyes and developed cysts in my eyelids that had to be removed. So be careful I also had no reactions to patch tests just think someone applied it poorly.

megrichardson · 05/06/2020 08:43

Face lift
microbladed eyebrows
teeth whitening
retin-a and vit c serum
microdermabrasion
botox
fillers

I was so unhappy with myself as I was ageing, but now I feel fantastic and people often comment on how good I look! I just smile and I don't mention all the procedures
