I used to always wish I had the time to garden, it looked so fun and relaxing. Now I have the time to garden I bloody loathe it, it's too hot and never ending. Will happily give that job back to DP Grin

I’ve learnt that I like our usual busy, hectic, activity-filled weekends. I’ve learnt that I would like to live further away from neighbours. I’ve learnt that I hate not being able to make things better for my DC - cancelled GCSEs, cancelled summer camps, etc. And I’ve learnt that I think a significant minority of the UK are utter, irresponsible fuckwits.

I love hobbies and don't miss rushing about in the least. I also don't miss school run. Not whatsoever. Being up against the clock all week is bad for my mental and physical health. That said I am still finding lockdown really stressful as my ds is 15 and his dad's family are 100 miles away. I am still up against the clock but only for say 2 thirds of day not all day. So still less rushing which is a most welcome reprieve.

That all that time I thought I loved being at home, it turns out I loved some of that time being at home ALONE. 🤣

That I gain weight like mad when I have access to my kitchen 24/7 and no fitness bootcamp to physically go to.

That working from home is a dream, particularly not having to commute.

That a good night's sleep really does make me feel better, and the reason I always felt rubbish was because I was constantly rushing around doing things after work and so was just exhausted all the time.

That I don't miss people or going out as much as I thought I would.

That it's very easy to get bored of TV and now that I'm back into it, I'm really enjoying writing my first novel in the evenings instead.
