I used to always wish I had the time to garden, it looked so fun and relaxing. Now I have the time to garden I bloody loathe it, it's too hot and never ending. Will happily give that job back to DP Grin

That I need to move back to a city as soon as humanly possible so that I have human contact and activity around me, instead of this rural nothingness.

That I can not only survive without, but haven't missed takeaways as much as I thought I would. That despite this, I haven't lost an ounce in weight. 😑

That my wool stash would see me through 10 pandemic lockdowns - and that this will come as no surprise to my DH nor to the long suffering hinges of my wardrobe doors.

That I would be happier living on a desert island.

That leaving the city was the right move for us. That my husband can be selfish when it comes to work. Also that he can be very productive when there is no sport on!
That working from home is definitely the future for me (perhaps without the 2 year old PA!)

That I don’t need people or miss them. That I am happier doing a job a love rather than a career. That I prefer to work less and have less in order to spend more time at home alone.
That I’m a bit selfish I suppose!

I’m an even bigger introvert than I thought.
That my DH really is my best friend.
That my immediate family are cool.
That I would retire tomorrow if I could.
That I’m a world class potterer.

That I actually don't mind running.

But mainly that my social anxiety is getting worse as I get older. I hate the anticipation of Zoom/Phone Calls. Does anyone else feel like this?

That if normal life was more like this, I'd generally be happier. Not the plague bit, just the pace. I think it's inadvertently created a more autism-friendly world (for some of us at least).

That I can exercise at home and really enjoy it when I make myself do it

That I am a better mum when I’m not rushing about stressed

That home education is better for DS when we are more spontaneous and use more resources instead of worrying they won’t be “just right”

That I need real interaction with friends a lot more than I thought. It’s broken me the last couple of weeks

That I hate commuting. That I love living in an extended family (DH and I staying with my parents along with my sister and granny). That I don’t actually miss my friends much when I’m in such a big family household.

That even though I've been in denial I do suffer from some sort of depression and am holding onto major anger and hurt towards my parents for the way they have treated me. I realise I need to talk to someone as I've become someone I'm not. Angry & miserable no matter what.

That I need some good friends. I love my introverted family but they can be draining. I love just watching nature and finding local walks. That I miss shopping for leisure and people watching in cafes once in a while. That I am not very good at pleasing myself when I have lots of leisure time.

Thanks! I forgot about bird watching. I never thought I would love it and I’ve saw more birds in this 2.5 months then in my whole life before.

That I don't need to physically be near friends, messages and phone calls are fine.
That I really like my husband and kids, we've all been together constantly 10 weeks now and we're good.
That I haven't got the concentration to read a book even though I have time.
That I'm so lucky to have a decent size house and a little garden.
That I don't hate my job as much as I thought I did. Been furloughed and do miss it but would like to be part time.
That there are many flavours of gin I hadn't even heard of.
