Random question, but what are your favourite beauty products?!

OP posts:
MistyMinge2 · 31/05/2020 17:35

The ordinary AHA peel
REN evercalm global protection day cream
Rosehip oil
Ren satin perfection bb cream
Biore watery essence spf50
Bourjois round blush pots (sadly not sold in the UK anymore)

Skykavin · 31/05/2020 17:55

Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm

The Ordinary Retinol (currently using 0.5%) and Niacinimide have honestly transformed my skin (which has been full of spots for years)

My newest fav thing is Elizabeth Arden Great 8 SPF35, it has absolutely no white cast and is great under make up or on its own!

I always come back to the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer.

Kate Somerville Nourish moisturiser is gorgeous. Love REN skincare stuff too.

Eyelure Dybrow.

Great thread! Smile

Oh I forgot to add L'Oréal paradise extatic mascara. I've tried loads over the years and this is honestly the only one that doesn't smudge or irritate my eyes. I can get to the end of the day without looking like Alice Cooper. I'd be gutted if it was discontinued.

SouthWestmom · 31/05/2020 19:01

Clarins moisture (blue package can't remember the name) face mask. Seen me and the kids through many a sun burnt holiday, sore skin, dry patches etc

PickleKing · 31/05/2020 20:27

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge I have recently gone to the doctor about my hormonal spots. I don't get many but I always seem to have one or two big ones. I got so sick of it. It happened before when I came off the pill and I went on antibiotics. He prescribed me Tetralysal, I think it's lymecycline. Not one single spot after a week and my skin is glowing. Just like last time I took it! I was worried last time that they'd come back when I stopped the course after 2 months but they didn't for years. You don't have to have actual acne for it to work, they kill the bacteria caused by oil blocking pores, and that's caused by hormones.

DieSchottin93 · 31/05/2020 20:38

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix range. I've started using it daily since lockdown started and my skin looks and feels so much better.

GuyFawkesDay · 31/05/2020 21:01

Glossier milky jelly cleanser. No foam, really gentle, smells delicious.

FaceTheory porebright and regenacalm serums. Helped my spots, scarring and wrinkles!!

And their AMAZING gel moisturiser for combination/oily skin.

For the first time since my early teens I am happy to go out make up free. No breakouts, no cystic acne.

Moroccan oil for my frizzy hair to make it behave.

Maybelline total temptation mascara in brown for every day.

RibenaMonsoon · 31/05/2020 21:31

It's a 10 miracle hair mask. Has changed my dry bleached hair. Cannot recommend enough.

Lush Skins Shangri La moisturiser as a night cream, also Lush Ultrabland cleanser. My skin is very dry and it used to freak out when the seasons change but it doesn't do that anymore with this stuff. Every now and then a load of bio oil on face overnight I find gives it a really nice moisture boost.

Has anyone tried the new Boots No7 Retinol Night Concentrate - the one where they closed the waitlist at 100,000 people?

Missfelipe · 31/05/2020 21:51

Recommend the Caroline Hirons YouTube series on vitamin A/retinols for a real eye opener on some products and an education into this area of skincare!

Chicchicchicchiclana · 31/05/2020 21:54

Nesti Dante soap
Sanex deodorant stick
Body Shop cammomile eye makeup remover
Vaseline for nails and cuticles

Apart from those I think I mix and match with everything else. I'm not 100% loyal to any product or brand.

Winnipegdreamer · 31/05/2020 21:57

Retirides
La Roche posay spf50
Aldi caviar 3 minute mask (although they’ve not had it in for ages!)
Stila stay all day eye liner

Body shop chamomile cleansing butter
Essence mascara

These are all things I’ve bought more than once as I love them so much!

JoanJettPack · 31/05/2020 22:03

Origins Plantscriptions range is my holy grail. I love the overnight mask especially. It's at the top end of my budget but I think it's definitely worth it. My skin feels hydrated and looks plumper and brighter. I love buffet + copper peptides from The Ordinary, too.

RockThrills · 31/05/2020 22:07

Superdrug naturally radiant skincare. I’ve had friends ask what I’m using now it’s made such a big difference.

The products I like most are the complete cleanser, the overnight glycolic peel, the toner and the 2 in 1 serum.

notheragain4 · 01/06/2020 11:49

@AmelieV mine is almost identical ha! I've just started the CT serum too but stick to LE for cleansing and toning.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/06/2020 11:57

It’s brilliant isn’t PurpleDaisies, I’ve used the cleanser for years and started using the toner a few days ago. I was a bit nervous about the peel, is it quite harsh and would you use the toner and peel or skip the toner that night?

PurpleDaisies · 01/06/2020 12:01

I tend to just use the peel once or twice a week. It isn’t harsh at all for me but I only use it after washing my face with the foamy cleanser and skip the toner. I’m not sure it’s really a proper “peel” but my skin is so soft the next morning.
