Random question, but what are your favourite beauty products?!

OP posts:
Waveysnail · 30/05/2020 17:26

www.celebluxury.com shampoos and conditioner. I'm amazed my hair is so easy to manage and shiny. I used colour conditioner to keep my pink highlights (bleached then died at hairdressers orginally) in my dark brown hair, plus covers my few greys. Saves me a fortune in getting coloured. Little goes a long way and my hair looks great even if let it dry naturally

ChristmasFluff · 30/05/2020 17:51

Oooh, the Lancome eye makeup remover suggested earlier - it's THE BUSINESS!

I use the Nivea fakey one - good, but not as good. But money, sadly. All my other recommendations I do regardless of price

ChristmasFluff · 30/05/2020 17:54

HORMONE SPOTS ON CHIN (sorry for caps, wanted to attract attention if @SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge doesn't see her tags:

Evening primrose oil 1.000 mg - 3 capsules orally daily. Also worked really well on my rosacea and eczema, whilstnot being a full cure IIRC

Saucepanlid · 30/05/2020 17:56

Astral cream .. used it for about 50 years
Until recently I would have said Liz Earle cleanse and polish but now it seems to make my skin dry . I don't know if it's changed or I have . I tried a cleanser a few months ago that felt like a gel but turned to an oil when massage in. Does anyone know what it is . I can't find mine .

Minesnotahighhorse · 30/05/2020 17:58

Erborian BB Creme Au Ginseng - Korean wonder cream that evens out skin and leaves it glowy

Urban Decay eyebrow products, particularly Brow Blade - the ink stain fills in patchy brows naturally and lasts all day

Drunk Elephant Vit C - expensive but worth it

Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick in no.23 - discovering that my pale skin suits peachy blush not pink has been a revelation and this formula melts into the skin and stays put.

Kiehls Butterstick tinted lip balm - moisturising with a lovely hint of colour

All the La Roche Posay Cicaplast and Toleriane range - perfect for my sensitive dry skin

DearTeddyRobinson · 30/05/2020 18:17

Ok caveat in that different things suit different people (and my standards are probably lower than many!). But I always come back to:
Shu Uemura cleansing oil (DHC if I can't get this as it's only available in Asia now).
L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand cream
Lancôme mascara (Hypnose, although the old Benefit or something was better)
Touche Eclat under eye highlighter
Flexitol heel balm
Herbal Essences shampoo & conditioner
Botox Blush

Mia184 · 30/05/2020 18:18

Estee Lauder ANS Serum
Chanel Le Lift Eye Cream
Chanel Le Teint Ultra Foundation (much better than MAC’s Pro Longwear Foundation)

BertiesLanding · 30/05/2020 18:20

Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant

VeraVinegarTits · 30/05/2020 21:43

Pond's Cold Cream

Liveandforget · 31/05/2020 00:06

@Hoohaahoo can you specify which face wash from the cerave range? Many thanks.

QuestionableMouse · 31/05/2020 00:14

Any recommendations for a lightweight, non greasy, non/lightly fragranced sun screen for my face?

Im using Aqua luminous products from Boots and love the range. My skin looks fantastic.

Mulderitssme · 31/05/2020 00:49

Boots - No 7 - hydrating mask - works wonders on my skin
Body Shop - drops of youth liquid peel/exfoliant
Boots - No 7 - Protect and Perfect Serum, Night/Day cream.
And always factor 50 sun cream.

stayathomer · 31/05/2020 01:06

Cetaphil gentle cleanser, roche posay mascara, clinique chubby stick, Rimmel perfect match foundation. All the Hourglass people, I cannot wait to try out their primer and the ambient powder. Also dream about CT pillow talk and magic cream, although I got pestle and mortar moisturizer as a present and it's pretty wow!!

stayathomer · 31/05/2020 01:08

I tried a cleanser a few months ago that felt like a gel but turned to an oil when massage in. Does anyone know what it is . I can't find mine .
Any chance you remember anything about the packaging?

stayathomer · 31/05/2020 01:09

Oh sorry, have to add Roche posay sun intolerant sun screen

luanmapo · 31/05/2020 01:23

Another one here who loves the Tropic facial everything!!
I’m 43 and it has improved my skin no end!!
I don’t get wrapped up in hosting parties etc, just order direct from my ambassador and she always gives me a couple of free products worth £20+ when I order over £100 worth of goods. I usually stock up every 6mths, so me I find it super cost effective compared to branded goods in Boots etc.

AnxiousMind · 31/05/2020 01:25
  • CeraVe moisturising lotion and cleanser: so gentle and hydrating without being greasy.
  • Avene Triacneal Expert: contains retinaldehyde, works miracles overnight. I wake up and can see my skin looks clearer.
  • Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster: tanning drops you add to your moisturiser for your face. They are amazing, give a really subtle glow and never look patchy. I wear SPF 50 on my face everyday year-round so they stop my face looking too pale
  • Dior Nail Glow: so easy and low maintenance to use, makes your nails look pink and glossy like "your nails but better"
highmarkingsnowbile · 31/05/2020 01:34

Nails Inc nail varnish
Seche Vite gel effect top coat
Nip+Fab glycolic fix cleansing pads and moisturiser

ladybird69 · 31/05/2020 01:45

@mrsg2019 which foot exfoliater is it? Please

Saucepanlid · 31/05/2020 04:41

Stayathomer

I think it was a flattish white tube( not much help sorry )

LaLaLanded · 31/05/2020 06:38

Cosrx blackhead power liquid - this stuff is amazing. My blackheads and sebaceous filaments have all but disappeared.

Verso acne cleanser: beautiful foaming cleanser.

Sunday Riley A+ Retinoid Serum: strong for over the counter stuff, and really lovely to use. I reckon it’s taken 2years off me which at 31 and already looking a bit younger than that, I’m happy with.

Make up wise: Revolution eyeshadows are brilliant, very highly pigmented and a great range of colours. Also their eyebrow pencils.

violetbunny · 31/05/2020 07:47

CosRX pimple patches (tiny hydrocolloid plasters for acne).
You stick one onto a spot, by morning it has sucked all the nasty stuff out of the spot. Only seems to work on spots that have come to a head, but far better than squeezing them as they reduce redness as well.

Saucepan lid sounds like some sort of melt cleanser. Superdrug b melting cleanser but they discontinued it. That was in a white tube xxx

Thighmageddon · 31/05/2020 08:57

Those of you that have bought Erborian CC, how did you decide which shade? I had intended to go in to Space NK but lockdown happened.
