I am a long time lurker and Trump terrifies me!. The man is nuts!

SabrinaThwaite · 22/06/2020 19:18

We Brits need a half decent UK US trade deal as otherwise the EC are going to heavily punish us to ensure others don’t also leave to form a new pact.

Rubbish. The EU is not “punishing” the UK, the UK is just finally finding out what being a 3rd country outside the SM and CU actually entails.

And don’t hold your breath on a UK/US deal either.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 22/06/2020 19:23

I doubt that a US/UK deal will be favourable, or even palatable, for the UK. What has the UK got to offer?

Roussette · 22/06/2020 19:38

Nothing to speak of. That's the scary thing.

macaroniandpizza · 22/06/2020 20:41

Has there been any murmurs on when trump is going to lift the travel restrictions given he wants the economy back booming again

I've been looking at some data. Florida cases look like the earthquake before a possible tsunami of deaths. I hope it's just more testing.

AcrossthePond55 · 23/06/2020 00:23

Rousette

Scrotus' approval rating with Independents is certainly low, but I wouldn't consider it 'catastrophic'. It doesn't always translate into votes for the other major party candidate, as we saw in 2016. If an Independent doesn't like Scrotus, that doesn't automatically mean they'll vote for Biden. They may go 3rd party candidate, write in someone, or not vote at all.

TheClaws · 23/06/2020 01:50

Hmm. “Declines to elaborate” on shadowy “treason” allegations? Trump is still bringing Obama into the conversation - probably to distract his voters from his own problems leading up to the election, and they are enormous enough.

Thanks Across

Those Florida figures are a bit worrying. Isn't the Governer of the same mindset as Trump? If you ignore the virus, it will go away.

Are there no medical press briefings anymore and what's happened to Fauci?

BruceAndNosh · 23/06/2020 07:48

And Florida is where the major Republican National Convention is scheduled for August.

Lweji · 23/06/2020 09:19

Here's hoping for a repeat in November.

Lweji · 23/06/2020 09:27

Florida could decide the race. If voters feel that Trump is the one who screwed up...

So far it had been New York, which seems in control now, but as predicted, it's hitting his states too (Texas), or swing states.

But it doesn't look good in California, although people will be more likely to blame him anyway.

Lweji · 23/06/2020 09:34

Fauci has been speaking out. And he wears a mask near the President.
The relationship is (was?) doomed.

Barr - a dangerously calculated liar as opposed to an orange pathological liar.

To me that says more about Fox than about anything else: their ratings are really that low?

thisenglishlife · 23/06/2020 11:16

I can't believe someone in such an important role uses teenager like phrases such as 'fake news' and 'lamestream media' continuously.

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 23/06/2020 11:52

Is it wrong or impolite to just say the obvious as the orange one speaks like a WWF (wrestler) non educated buffoon?

His vocabulary is not only very selective but simplistic and extremely limited in scoop.

Do intelligent Americans also think he makes a mockery of the post? Or are there simply so many voters that think and literally speak his language?

Mind boggles as the USA was formerly highly regarded. Dr Anthony Fauci et al must be such diplomatic saints subjected to all his senseless crap!

B1rdbra1n · 23/06/2020 11:59

But WWF wrestlers are cool and intellectual stuff is for dorks who are not cool, plus thinking is hard and important people should not have to do hard work
I think that's how it works 🤣

Lady Graham dissents for once. But it ain't worth a hill of beans.
