Ooopsie Bolton's book is out there online then! Fair justice for him, not getting any $$ from this. Especially as he didn't have the balls to testify at the Impeachment hearings and is now criticising the hearings.

Schiff is none too happy either.

edition.cnn.com/2020/06/18/politics/adam-schiff-john-bolton-impeachment-cnntv/index.html

"It's quite a charade, I give him credit for sheer nerve," Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told CNN's Erin Burnett on "OutFront" Thursday. "Because what he's saying basically is, 'there was malpractice in impeachment because you should have investigated things that I was unwilling to tell you about.' And that's pretty breathtaking."

AcrossthePond55 · 21/06/2020 14:57

If he charges for the tickets he'll get only devotees, but if they have been used to free rallies will they want to pay now?

Of course they will! Because it won't be 'paying for a ticket to attend'. It'll be a 'donation for a chance to meet'. I've seen similar for candidates of both parties. Usually very pricy dinners with a chance to meet . The campaign racks up the $$$$ and one sap gets a handshake and a photo op. Except in this case it'll be a shell game and no one will ever know that no one 'real' got to meet Scrotus. It'll be some pre-selected 'plant'. But in this case I think they'd only be able to get away with charging a 'token' fee. Maybe $10.00 - 15.00pp? But who knows, his supporters may feel that, oh, $50.00 isn't too much to 'show the love'. I'm sure most of them have donated at least that much to his campaign, even if it's been in dribs and drabs.

Or they'll just say "So sorry but we HAVE to start charging now because of the DEMS! It's all their fault!!!".

My question would be more along the lines of "Will someone be willing to pay for a ticket to block a REAL supporter from attending?".

TheNorthWestPawsage · 21/06/2020 15:15

Trump's campaign completely misjudged it. I do think that a number of the more "sane" supporters (there must be a few...) stayed away because they thought too many people were supposed to be going and they wouldn't get in. Also a few might have been worried about getting caught up in protests (all they've seen on Fox is misleading footage of tear gas, "antifa rioters", destruction of property on repeat so they think it's the norm at protests now). A few more would be worried about exposure to the virus given their likely comorbidities. But even so... he didn't do very well, did he? Grin

Tulsa FD reported approximately 6,200 seats were occupied out of a possible 19,000.
The K-Pop fans reserved lots of the tickets, they have been doing much to fight white supremacists recently. Korean pop fans
Trump called Covid-19 Kung Flu at the rally

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 21/06/2020 15:24

This orange guy continues to set and lower the bar for all others including Boris and world leaders to raise their game and level up!

All other countries are technically comparatively placed in an elevated more advantageous position given his unique unprecedented no style indifferent self (and family/gang brand) serving first as it not American first but the man and his friends first obviously!!

Current unpredictable Trumpet chaos theory also has some though admittedly less tangible benefits for us Brits!

Lweji · 21/06/2020 15:30

I suppose they could have a reserve fee to be reimbursed or exchanged for food or merchandise at the venue for example.

I don't think many people would be willing to part with cash to empty a Trump rally, though. Unless you had a lot of spare money and were really keen on thwarting his efforts. Might have a bigger effect than paying for TV adds. Grin

Funny interviews with supporters at Trump rallies

I almost felt sorry for him there seeing that clip. He looks like a tired old man who has taken a 2 hour flight, spoken to a quarter of the crowd he expected, and flown home for two hours. Absolutely knackered.

Then I remembered that he's a twat.

Makes me so happy to hear that the biggest rally in almost forever for trump the trumpet was a resounding failure 😂😂

Nah, no sympathy from me.

He looked like a pouty, whingy, little titty-baby to me.

I do have to admit that it did surprise me just a tad. I would have thought he would have been pumped full of righteous indignation at the MSM reporting 'fake numbers' and the Dems/Antifa/Villians du jour being responsible for 'blocking attendees'.

But again, I haven't looked at his Twitter yet today.

BruceAndNosh · 21/06/2020 20:10

It's interesting to watch his speech with the sound down (always the best way!)
His whole body language and facial expressions are dialled down, not so excessively pumped up as usual. You can tell that his heart wasn't in it

thisenglishlife · 21/06/2020 20:13

After watching videos of him walking (esp. the ramp he walked down with a helper) and drinking, it seems like he is having difficulties with the right side of his body. Could he have had a stroke (he was admitted to Walter Reed hospital at the end of last year for unknown reasons)?

Oh thisenglishlife those interviews with Trumpies.Shock

I had to hide behind the sofa at the one who thought Obama was president during 9/11.

AcrossthePond55 · 21/06/2020 20:37

Interviews with Trumpeters always make me want to tear my hair out. The level of ignorance and racism is just monumental and I just want to shake the idiocy out of them.

Roussette · 21/06/2020 21:29

I saw the vid of all the Trumpies talking bollocks. Blimey! That reporter is very clever at bringing out the worst in them!

TheNorthWestPawsage · 21/06/2020 22:26

I'd not seen the Daily Show/Jordan Keppler interviews before - thanks for the link thisenglishlife

I almost feel sorry for them - well and truly conned. Poor unfortunate souls as Ursula would say.

Does anyone British and neutral here thinks that essentially the current against the odds USA presidential surprise simply needs to continue to protect himself and family/gang brand as obviously more than one of them have taken over the White House (nepotism unseen historically apart from former USA ruling political dynasties) by continuing to polarise and split the vote by ensuring again enough to see him through using whatever dirty tactics be it requested overseas cyber media interference etc. In other words if he loses will all the crap catch up with him - you know the stuff famously reported and unreported but nicely packaged in books etc. Law suits, corruption, sexism, racism, ignorance, playing off his own advisers even medical experts saying bleach and his own self serving drugs brands is worth trying against the “flu”etc etc. You know all the stuff you could not even make up if you were that creative in an antagonist way. So far the numbers game on his team does not indicate he is not at fault as per attempted impeachments but simply the opposition do not have enough manpower to get the job done against him.

A clown in the White House is good or bad for competing economies globally as I am confused if it is best to have such a wild card in charge or better to have a more steady mainstream and liked regular president?

I am confused on this guy just as much as he is on running USA. Makes everyone else seem like an absolute hero for their own nations. Only the Brazilian president is a challenge for most incompetent and unfit for purpose “leader”. No doubt his fans will be here to add their support! I personally find him like a surreal horror show but others will love him as that’s why he is there already but has he got enough voters on board this time round!? He is comedy gold and the gift that keeps giving though it has to be said as you just can’t make this stuff up!

I’m liking this:

Al Franken @alfranken

6,200 people at Trump rally in Tulsa. Acts that had bigger crowds at the same venue in 2019:

- Sha Na Na
- The Pips (w/o Gladys Knight)
- Loverboy
- John Tesh
- The West Virginia Touring Company of La Traviata
