A lot of this time has been great and a real eye opener as to how many material things we don’t need. But I’m really struggling now and feel like a treat, money’s tight but I’ve spent way less than usual, so looking for an idea on a bit of a treat. What have you bought that’s made you smile?

Popcorn maker, single bed, printer, craft supplies, kindle for DD11 (for Easter) & put lots of books on it as she reads loads, books for school, Dobby toy, pjs for DD, sunglasses for DD, pillow for between my legs in bed, Pobble, Uno, waxing kit & a new mixer. Oh & a new paddling pool. Far too much chocolate too.
Totally skint now.

Smurf123 · 25/05/2020 21:41

A used little tikes playhouse and some plastic spray paint... (The only one we could find was pink and it's for ds) although in all honestly he couldn't care less about the colour but I need a project...
Dh bought himself a new computer to play games on.... Because he has time to actually play them.. while I entertain a very active just stopped napping 2 year old all day.. Hmm

Cookie dough, fudge, weekly deliveries of strawberries, desserts and fancy bread. A white cotton sun dress. Craft supplies for kids. Deck paint. A really decent bouquet of artificial flowers. A disco light.

A rather lovely sketchbook and coloured fine liners

Oysterbabe · 25/05/2020 21:50

Lots of seeds and garden stuff.
Running kit.
A couple of cases of wine.
Nice coffee.
Loads of craft kits and toys for the kids. I count it as a gift to me as it buys me 5 minutes peace.

coffeechocolatecoffee · 25/05/2020 21:51

Body soap, moisturiser, deodorant and solid shampoo from small UK based companies that are plastic free and all smell incredible

New skincare products from The Ordinary after suffering from endless breakouts since stopping breastfeeding at the beginning of the year. Sought some advice and am trying medical grade products in the hope they help

An epilator as I have no idea when I can next have my legs waxed!

Lots of decent food to cook from scratch for every meal and bake regularly with children

B0bbin · 25/05/2020 21:51

Comfy clothes and wineWine

Notnownotneverever · 25/05/2020 21:52

Wax melts and news bras for me and DD.
If I have to work from home it needs to at least smell nice.

nevergooogle · 25/05/2020 21:52

A Panama hat

Purpletigers · 25/05/2020 22:08

Plants for the garden and annuals for balcony window boxes .
New gardening gloves , a couple of new planters .
Two more chickens just before lockdown .
Some linen and thread for embroidery
A couple of kindle books . I really miss charity shops for books .

TypingError · 25/05/2020 22:08

Three huge bars of nesti Dante soap. I got the idea from a recent thread on here. It smells delicious.

Purpletigers · 25/05/2020 22:09

Oh my goodness , I’m officially ancient !

mummydoris2006 · 25/05/2020 22:16

Lots of gel nail polish, gel nail tools and lamp and a constant supply of pringles!
DD is 14 in two weeks and I've bought far more for her birthday than normal although it's actually all stiff for her pony really. I also bought her some decent fake tan which she is messing up just as spectacularly as the poundland one Smile

magicmallow · 25/05/2020 22:17

fairy lights!

AvocadoPrime · 25/05/2020 22:25

Some clothes, some hair colour from Sally's (eagerly awaiting these deliveries). Some lovely new pillows, a summer duvet, new bedding, teeth whitening strips and a blackout blind, in the hope ds 15 months stops waking before 5amFlowers

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 25/05/2020 22:29

@snappycamper Chance is my all time favourite scent. I might get myself a bottle too!

I’ve bought

Lovely new skincare stuff
Loungewear
Monopoly
Two tippy back garden loungers
L’Occitane almond shower oil
Loads of Soaper Duper stuff
Many takeaways

I’ve now got my eye on

A Becca primer
A comfy bralette
A Cloud9 waving wand

In my humble defence I get a bonus from work next payday for working through this fiasco.

Fuckerdoodle · 25/05/2020 22:29

Face masks, bath smellys, candles and plenty of snacks.

Basically anything in the shop that looks remotely relaxing Grin

LadyMuck111 · 25/05/2020 22:30

Some stupidly expensive sleep spray because I just cannot sleep anymore at night. It had bette work!!

Cocacola12 · 25/05/2020 22:30

Les Mills home fitness set (weights and step) for doing body pump

LadyGAgain · 25/05/2020 22:30

Real champagne.

DimplesToadfoot · 25/05/2020 22:31

I bought a pair of country boots that I had wanted for years but could never justify the cost ... I've saved a few pennies during lockdown so splurged, Yay! Happy days. They didn't fit, next time I'm buying chocolate .. Chocolate always works
