At 8pm tomorrow 26 May my family will take part in this protest.

Not that I think the consequences should end there....but I need to register my disgust somehow at the contempt Boris Johnson and the Government have shown for all of us.

I can't express how appalled I am by this, I know what my family has gone through and I have seen the hardships others have faced; and still kept to the rules for the sake of the public good. The Government's actions have shown how little respect and regard they have for us.

I do hope that others who feel similar outrage join in with this protest.

Childish.

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 26/05/2020 13:34

No, I won’t be doing this. I don’t want to get my kids involved in something that’s purely negative and achieves nothing.

dayswithaY · 26/05/2020 13:45

When will all this arseing about on doorsteps end? I wouldn't even do it if I lived next door to Boris, there are far better ways to protest.

Rojelio · 26/05/2020 13:49

No thanks, bit of a witch hunt now.

Apple1029 · 26/05/2020 13:55

OP you are only embarrassing yourself and you will seem like a right nut standing and booing. That is childish. Is that what you want to teach your child?

And think about this for a second. You keeping to the rules benefitted you and your family, didn't it?
You could have gone about doing what you please but if you or your family got sick then who loses??
In your rush to throw a tantrum, please think about the bigger picture here of how this has actually affected your family.

Igotthemheavyboobs · 26/05/2020 14:10

I'll be very amused if me neighbours do this, considering they have all had people round, partiesa and bbqs for the past few weeks.

Jillyhilly · 26/05/2020 20:04

Well, that was disapppointing.

anxietrist · 26/05/2020 20:23

I'm going to start one on Wednesdays at 8pm where we stand on our door steps and scream for 3 minutes

anxietrist · 26/05/2020 20:25

...hang on the booing is Wednesday isn't it? Ok I'll take fridays for the screaming. Saturdays we can yodel.

tttigress · 26/05/2020 20:27

Was there any booing?

Personally I am totally sick of this lockdown now, seems to be doing more harm than good.

Genderwitched · 26/05/2020 20:35

OMG that's what that noise was outside about half an hour ago. Ds came in to my office and said that he had heard a noise like someone howling, and then a load of dogs joined in. I think that there was only one person though , and i'd bet good money on who it was Smile

Jillyhilly · 26/05/2020 20:49

hang on the booing is Wednesday isn't it? Ok I'll take fridays for the screaming. Saturdays we can yodel.

And maybe on Sunday’s we can just gnash our teeth?

runrabbitrunrunrun · 26/05/2020 20:53

Crack on if you want to look like a complete crazy person.
What do you think booing outside your door like a knob will achieve?

Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal · 26/05/2020 20:58

I heard no booing.

dayswithaY · 26/05/2020 21:00

I was thinking we could do the okey cokey on Sundays

NutellaOnButteryToast · 26/05/2020 21:34

How about we all do a doorstep hacka?....

Sundays good for everyone?

NutellaOnButteryToast · 26/05/2020 21:37

Sorry, just noticed Sundays are out.

We're filling up the week fast. Mondays?

U022828 · 26/05/2020 21:40

That's ridiculous. People are dying, families are grieving and stressed and whilst I agree that the whole cumgate has been a shit show I don't think people need to hear that when we're all just trying to muddle through as best we can. If you were my neighbour I'd think you were a douche.

BillywilliamV · 26/05/2020 21:48

Well, I will be screaming along with anxietrist.

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 26/05/2020 21:51

And I’m going for the Sunday Hokey Cokey. With a cheeky morph into the Time warp.

And will be fervently hoping that folk know their left and right so we can maintain the social distance.

FlashesOfRage · 26/05/2020 21:55

FFS 8pm Thursday ruined forever. It’s just going to be an endless stream of new obligations to fulfill or else lose your virtue points Confused

Thurmanmurman · 26/05/2020 22:17

Oh please!

Chattercino · 26/05/2020 22:20

Move on

PhilCornwall1 · 27/05/2020 05:31

The Government's actions have shown how little respect and regard they have for us.

It's taken this for you to realise they couldn't give two shits about the general public? Of course they don't, never have, never will, why would they?

All this "protect the NHS" wasn't done out of kindness, it was done because it's screwed through underfunding and to have it on its knees through a virus wouldn't be good for Boris and his mates.

Booing is going to make zero difference and is pointless.

PhilCornwall1 · 27/05/2020 05:33

but don't think there is anything intrinsically childish about a public expression of disapproval.

Standing on your doorstep booing isn't?
