At 8pm tomorrow 26 May my family will take part in this protest.

Not that I think the consequences should end there....but I need to register my disgust somehow at the contempt Boris Johnson and the Government have shown for all of us.

I can't express how appalled I am by this, I know what my family has gone through and I have seen the hardships others have faced; and still kept to the rules for the sake of the public good. The Government's actions have shown how little respect and regard they have for us.

I do hope that others who feel similar outrage join in with this protest.

Your neighbours will assume you're booking the NHS and key workers

Troubledinparadise1 · 25/05/2020 21:56

Booing*

Bluntness100 · 25/05/2020 22:00

Did you do it op? Did you go stand at your front door and boo?

crispysausagerolls · 25/05/2020 22:02

@bluntness100

Fully agree with every post

Thecruxxofitis · 25/05/2020 22:19

@Bluntness100 it’s tomorrow

ItsNow · 25/05/2020 22:21

Don't be ridiculous.

Leflic · 25/05/2020 22:27

but don't think there is anything intrinsically childish about a public expression of disapproval.

Apart from it being horribly simplistic.

It needs a show of numbers but thousands writing to their MP is just as effective as some public lynch mob.

Think it's tomorrow we're all being encouraged to boo, not tonight Grin
He's not going to hear me so I don't see the bloody point myself lol

savehalloween · 25/05/2020 23:11

Surely as no one will have a clue what you're doing, they'll take it as some sort of anti-keyworker clap?

Fedupwiththemedia · 25/05/2020 23:19

For

Fucks

Sake

I actually have no words

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 25/05/2020 23:20

The 3 you used were just fine @Fedupwiththemedia Grin

SuckingDieselFella · 25/05/2020 23:58

I am looking forward to this.

Haven't had a laugh for ages.

Jillyhilly · 26/05/2020 09:12

It’s literally a 2-minute hate. We finally got there!

Can’t wait to see how this one plays out. Like SuckingDieselFella I could use a good laugh.

Thecruxxofitis · 26/05/2020 09:45

Oooooo today’s the big day OP!!

OldSpeclkledHen · 26/05/2020 09:47

W.T.A.F.

I imagine you were in the que to get to the summit of Snowdon weekend of 21st March.

Bluntness100 · 26/05/2020 10:25

Oh thanks, Cruxx and lemonade. I forgot it was today!

Op are you going to do it then? Stand on your doorstep booing?

EmbarrassedUser · 26/05/2020 10:41

I just can’t get annoyed about this. He was mostly in quarantine, get over it.

Mrhodgeymaheg · 26/05/2020 10:58

I think we should show Boris what we think of him, but in a different way. Hearing all the jeers in the house of commons always makes me cringe - they just look like childish rich kids in a debating club with no sense of what the real world looks like, and I think the booing is similar. I would rather put a sign up in my window with some choice words about what we think of Boris, but that could be very divisive, and I'm not sure I really want to know my neighbours political orientation.

The best thing we could do is ridicule him, although he doesn't need much help in that department. Over time he will become an unpopular choice as PM, as people will inevitably feel uncomfortable voting for a party that is coming across as useless and a bit of a laughing stock, in both our country and the rest of the world.

firstimemamma · 26/05/2020 11:01

I don't think I know anyone who has 'booed' in disapproval of anything and is over the age of 9 so I find it a bizarre concept really.

........
I have, it's now chip paper.

A very sensible post from you, Embarrassed, if I may say so.

Jillyhilly · 26/05/2020 12:00

Please don’t say anything else to put the OP and others off doing this. I’m very keen to see it in action. Grin

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 26/05/2020 12:21

I’m at work jilly and miles away from doorsteps probably.

I’m relying on you for the giggles tonight Grin

Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal · 26/05/2020 12:32

It just sounds nasty. Booing someone you don’t agree with. If your work mates booed your every time you got something wrong I’m sure you’d be offended. I don’t agree with what DC has done but booing is childish and nasty.

Isawamagpie · 26/05/2020 12:56

LOL

Jillyhilly · 26/05/2020 13:18

Oh bad luck Doreen - make sure you check back in at 8pm as I for one will be enthusiastically reporting back on the booing.
