Those who are furloughed, or working from home, just wondering what time you're getting up and getting on with homeschooling/work/whatever else you're filling your days with.
Me about half eight. Though I have had the odd lie in.

6:45.
Tween dc's alarms are usually set for 7-8am.

I set my alarm for 8:45 at weekends to try and keep my body clock together.

InsaneProbably · 21/05/2020 17:42

I'm not working at all, and we have no kids, and usually I'm awake at 5am. I'm just a very early riser in general.

Cliffdonville · 21/05/2020 17:47

5am as usual, I've been having to get up at that time to commute to work for years. My body seems incapable of sleeping any later

I am WFH full time now, so am starting at 6am, finishing at 2 and then doing school work with my 4 year old, so it's working well.

cottonwoolbrain · 21/05/2020 17:48

DP gets up about 6am as does ds. Both natural early risers.

DP brings me a cup of tea around 7.45 and wakes me up gently. I get up about 20 minutes later.I knew I fell in love with him for a reason Smile

DD is 14 gets up late as she can. I have a strong suspicion she does first lesson in bed in her pyjamas unless she knows the video stream will be running and then dresses at break time!!

DustyMaiden · 21/05/2020 17:52

Get up at 11.30. DS home from uni.
Go to bed at 4. Am.

CoronaIsComing · 21/05/2020 17:52

I set the alarm for 8:00. Any later and it’ll be really hard to get back to normal!

tumpymummy · 21/05/2020 17:58

Oh gosh, I feel like a lazy slob now too! DH gets up 7am but I dont get up until 10am most days apart from the 1 day a week when I actually go in to work. On my WFH days I prefer to get up later then work later, but then I have always been a night owl and not an early riser. Old teens aren't getting up until midday at earliest. Year 11 daughter doesnt get up until 4pm some days. No idea what time they go to bed. Feels weird but then as they say what reason have they got to get up early now anyway.

LoisLanyard · 21/05/2020 18:02

Up at 6am to start work (WFH). DH looks after the kids and then we swap at lunchtime so he can do some work. I am really knackered!

AnnaNimmity · 21/05/2020 18:03

I'm incapable of lying in - I don't set the alarm now though and wake up later, so around 7-7.30. I have coffee, a bit of quiet time and start on emails (I'm wfh), and the kids all pile down from 9 to start their school work at 10

Anniethehalforphan · 21/05/2020 18:03

10:30. Joy of no kids

sarahcoffeelover · 21/05/2020 18:04

Just got up after my early evening nap Grin

QuestionableMouse · 21/05/2020 18:09

Sometime before 11.

Usually around 9, but there have been days I've slept later than that. Really struggling with insomnia though which can see me up until 3/4am.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 21/05/2020 18:10

I'm a lark and wake up at 5/5.30 am. I'm WFH and live alone (when I was commuting I'd get upnar 5 ish) so I have a cup of tea in bed and read, and get up about 6.30 and do 40 minutes of exercise, then shower, dress and breakfast. Then out for a walk, back in time for 9 am when the work phone and laptop goes on.

Ready for bed at 9 pm Grin

Mintjulia · 21/05/2020 18:33

7ish. Put washing on, have a quiet cup of coffee, get ds up, washed, dressed, fed and at keyboard for 9am.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 21/05/2020 18:47

Around 9.Ds gets up around 7.30/8.

ErickBroch · 21/05/2020 18:54

WFH, no kids, half 8. Pre-lockdown 6:15 everyday. I am treating these lay-ins as a holiday for me.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 21/05/2020 18:56

Alarm goes at 7:45 out of bed at 8:15, breakfast ready for joe wicks at 9. Going to bed a lot later though. And I've stopped having my afternoon snooze as much, as I'm not knackered from a long and action packed day at work

ElaineMarieBenes · 21/05/2020 19:06

07:55 - start work (well log on to my laptop) at 08:00

Namechange8471 · 21/05/2020 19:09

Belledan1 · 21/05/2020 19:16

beachbreeze · 21/05/2020 19:18

I wfh. 2 children aged 9 and 3. We used to get up at 6:20 - well, I did, and got ready first and we all left about 8 to school and childminder. At the mo I'm getting up about 8.10 and drinking coffee in bed before laptop on 8:30ish

TheMostHappy · 21/05/2020 19:21

I'm wfh and have a toddler and a 9 yo. I start work at 7am as I work compressed hours so I'm up at 4:55, check my Facebook in bed for a bit, then up and out for a run with the dog as I've started couch to 5k, then back for a quick wash, breakfasts ready and start work for 7am.

Quornflakegirl · 21/05/2020 19:21

DH leaves at 7:15 and will being me a coffee then. I wake kids at 7:45, we do an hours school work then I have 2 hours of Zoom meetings and we continue with school for another hour. DC at 7.
