Those who are furloughed, or working from home, just wondering what time you're getting up and getting on with homeschooling/work/whatever else you're filling your days with.
Me about half eight. Though I have had the odd lie in.

DP has started waking up at 4am, i get out of bed anytime between 5.30am and 7am and dd (10) rolls downstairs just before 8 usually, although sometimes dd gets up earlier and watches her phone for a while before coming downstairs.

KittyMcKitty · 21/05/2020 15:45

Between 6.30 & 7 so just a little later then normal. Children 15 & 17 have to be online in tutor time at 8.40.

DH working full time (some from home some not), children on normal school timetable (state school) and I’m not working my last contract had finished and the next is delayed.

Do an hour of yoga after children start school then walk dog, do housework. Lots of time for reading and lazing around.

BarbedBloom · 21/05/2020 15:45

Pretty late, about 11 but we are mostly nocturnal at the moment. No children so doesn't affect anyone

louisethedisease · 21/05/2020 16:12

I'm furloughed and have been getting up between 8 and 9. Dd10 has been getting up anytime between 5 and 10. We start school work about an hour after we are both up and usually done around lunch time then we walk the dog, read, tv, den making , gardening, cooking and Lego etc to try to keep busy. We haven't really been bored yet, not sure when dd will be going back to school but I can't go back to work until she does.

Camomila · 21/05/2020 16:20

Wake up at 6am, breastfeed and give DS2 to DH then go back to sleep.

Get up around 8-8.30 with DS1. He's 4 but not in reception yet so no formal homeschooling. Usually aim to be out of the house for exercise with DS1 by 10am overwise it gets too hot and sunny.

Rosebel · 21/05/2020 16:30

Either 5 or 11. Sleep is all over the place at the moment. Can't sleep at night, don't know if it's due,to pregnancy or being stuck indoors all the time.
Think I'm more exhausted now than when I was getting up at 4 in the morning for work.

Devlesko · 21/05/2020 16:32

Same time as usual between 9.30am and 10.00am.

Treaclepie19 · 21/05/2020 16:36

I'd sleep in if I could but my 4yo has us up at 5/6am. Dh gets up to get ready before work at 6.30 latest anyway.

cologne4711 · 21/05/2020 16:37

Both DH and I WFH and get up sometime between 7 and 7.30 on a weekday. DS has a couple of fairly early morning lessons so he gets up about 8.15 those days and around 9/10 on others.

It's about the same for me, DH used to get up at 5.45 to commute so he is enjoying not having to get up at the crack of dawn,

Treaclepie19 · 21/05/2020 16:37

SAHM and pregnant so really would love the lie in 😂

crikeycrumbsblimey · 21/05/2020 16:37

Wfh and start at 6, so up slightly before. Only way to fit in work and home schooling

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 21/05/2020 16:43

I get up at 7 so I can have a quiet half hour to myself with a cup of coffee. I wake DS up at 7.30. He starts his day with guided reading at 8.30, then PE with Joe or some other kind of exercise at 9 and his lessons start at 9.40. I start work at 9am. DP (furloughed) gets up between 7.30 and 8 usually.
It helps us to have a set routine during the week, and to be up and dressed at a decent time. I'm always showered and dressed by the time I start work. I used to work from home once a week and would quite frequently get up at 8.30 to start work at 9 in my pyjamas and then shower and dress mid-morning but I don't think that's a healthy habit to get into long term.

I really, really love my quiet half hour at the start of the day. It's something I will miss when things get back to normal!

Sugartitss · 21/05/2020 16:46

I’m back to work now but was waking up whenever, sometimes two in the afternoon

Ragwort · 21/05/2020 16:48

Furloughed with no young children (just a 19 year old who surfaces about midday Grin). DH working from home & he is usually at his desk by 8.30.

I get up anywhere between 7am & 8am, I’ve never liked lazing around in bed, not that I am that productive when I get up, usually just drink coffee and look at mumsnet. Occasionally I like to do a long walk first thing, or sometimes an on line work out.

Pipandmum · 21/05/2020 16:50

About 7.45 to make sure my daughter is ready for online school. If a weekend then as late as possible - but I have dogs and rabbits so not much past 9.

Flippetydip · 21/05/2020 16:55

Up way earlier than usual in an attempt to get most work out of the way before the household wakes.

So, out of bed at 0615 and at computer, cup of tea in hand by 0630. I am most productive by far in the two hours between 0630 and 0830. I never work late evenings because it just doesn't suit me.

DH gets up about 0800 and the kids the same (although DD will have been reading in bed since about 0645 - DD is an early riser like me).

hiredandsqueak · 21/05/2020 17:03

I get up any time after five and almost always before six. Mostly so that I get the house to myself but also because I am rubbish at sleeping and so am awake and no prospect of going back to sleep. I love early mornings it's my favourite part of the day.

CurlyEndive · 21/05/2020 17:06

Between 6 and 7. I'm an early riser Smile

Hendalle · 21/05/2020 17:12

5:30 just like normal. Walk the dog, go for a run, cup of tea and then usually a core or upper body class before shower etc and work. Though I am noticing I’m awake later in the evenings, the commute takes more of a toll than I’d realized.

sociallydistained · 21/05/2020 17:19

No children and furloughed... i was going to bed later and later and getting up around 10/10.30... decided to start setting an alarm for 9. I was going to bed around 1am and that's been getting later again so I'm knackered.

Back to work June 1st and will need to be up at 6.30 so I really need to get into the habit of going to bed earlier primarily!

SparkyTheCat · 21/05/2020 17:24

@Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches same here. Currently starting work 9.30 or 10, however energy then goes into the actual work rather than constantly fighting my body clock, so I'm actually doing more and better, and in less time too. I've always been an owl.

User36367 · 21/05/2020 17:33

8 so I can start work at 9. I’m still working from home full time throughout this.

helia · 21/05/2020 17:38

WFH. DH 6 am, me and DS 6:20 am. DH is logging on as soon as he wakes up and has his breakfast while doing emails. We switch at 10 am (DS is too young to leave on his own).

Indoctro · 21/05/2020 17:39

Two kids 3/5

Up at 7am

School 8.30 - 1030

AgeLikeWine · 21/05/2020 17:41

I’m furloughed. I set my alarm for 8 then listen to the news on R4 and the 8-10 interview if it’s anyone interesting, then I get up.
