Probably a crazy idea but planning for the long term that when this is all over and we are back to normal we are hoping to do a tour of the UK with our children. We’ve spent a lot of time in Cornwall and Dorset but want our children to see more of the lovely country that we live in.
Can I have some tips for some great places to visit and perhaps some hidden gems! Anywhere in the UK!

Liverpool. God, I think about it every day. I know exactly which cafe I want to visit on Bold Street, exactly which pub I'm going to on Lark Lane. I miss all the rubbish in St John's, and the milky coffee they serve in the cafe in the market there. And I miss SCOUSERS. When I go back, I may well embarrass myself.

London. King's Road. Parsons Green.

I'm pining for Bodnant Gardens, especially now the laburnum arch is in full bloom. I also want to go to Conway and Liverpool (the latter will be much later because it's usually a shopping or museum trip for us).

But the place I want to go most, is my mum's house. Just for a coffee would do.... but for a Sunday roast would be amazing. And give her a hug! A quick socially distanced chat when I drop off shopping just isn't the same!!!

Crantock beach in Cornwall, stunning place.
Branksome beach in Dorset

My local pub! Daft but it's like Cheers to us regulars, it's off the beaten track, not noisy or trouble, have had some amazing times there and made some great friends too

I couldn't tell you my absolute favourite place because it'd spoil it..the absolute best part of it (the best view) is also not accessible to the public, you have to know someone and go visit, but you can walk a footpath past in the general area and garner a little of what makes it such a nice a place, but I truly couldn't mention it for fear of repercussions.
Another good one is the Isle of Iona, absolutely stunningly beautiful
here : www.shorecottage.co.uk/contact.html is a lovely place to stay

However we don't live far from Henley on Thames and it's a lovely vibrant town and a great place to holiday - there's a few caravan /mobile home sites not too far away eg Swiss Farm. From there you can explore the Chilterns, enjoy the river Thames, as well as take trips into London by train. Lots of National Trust, Roald Dahl & River & Rowing museum esp good if you have kids, you can also get to the Harry Potter studio tour very easily by car.

I think everyone should visit London, and see some of the famous sights.

There can't be anywhere more beautiful than Snowdonia in Autumn

There are so many gorgeous beaches and stretches of coastline, but as you've done a lot of that, then are you looking for something different ?

History - Bath, Chester, York, Stratford

Hills / Walking / Scenery - Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, Snowdonia, Brecon, maye some of the long Distance Paths ?

Do a tour of the Great Cathedrals and that will take you into some beautiful Cities

Huge amount of heritage and social History to be found in some of the great Cities - Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Sheffield, Bath, Bristol, but also places such as Ironbridge, or the Black Country Museum

Architecture (as well as Cathedrals and most of the Historically interesting places) - Cambridge, Oxford, Bath

Haven't been many places in England, but for the past few years we have went on holiday in North Yorkshire. I love it there and I absolutely love York.
Edinburgh, Aviemore and Oban. Aviemore and Oban because that's where we always went on holiday when I was wee, so it's just nostalgia really. Can't wait to visit all these places again.
