And no change before the 28th. What the hell is Nichola Sturgeon thinking?!

OP posts:
MorrisZapp · 18/05/2020 14:08

Why, exactly, would English people come up here if everything is closed? They literally can't go to the toilet.

Meanwhile, golf is opening in England as are some shops and cafes. Seems to me there's a lot more reason for us to head south, where we can sample normality and ease our bladders as nature demands.

LagunaBubbles · 18/05/2020 14:10

she's thinking of the health of Scottish people at the expense of the English purse, as usual. Wants to be independent but also wants handouts from England

Didn't take long fur this usual stupid fuckwitted response to appear either, who either doesnt know or care that Scottish people actually pay into to the UK "purse", not an English one.

LagunaBubbles · 18/05/2020 14:11

For the last time Laguna. I commented on Scotland because I am Scottish and live in Scotland

So? Still an anti SNP post.

MorrisZapp · 18/05/2020 14:12

We can't afford furlough on our own so Rishi will be making that call.

IdblowJonSnow · 18/05/2020 14:13

Yabu and I think England relaxed slightly too early. I would have been happier waiting another week or 2.

YouHurtMeSoMuch · 18/05/2020 14:14

Oh I see.

So one is not allowed to be Scottish and be critical of the SNP?

Noted.

It really is a brave new world isn't it? Angry

You'll be telling me I'm not a real Scots next.

OP posts:
MorrisZapp · 18/05/2020 14:15

Mentioning the country you live in is now 'anti SNP', fuck me that's inspired.

StoorieHoose · 18/05/2020 14:15

Nothing NS has said mentions extending the furlough so I don't get why posters are mentioning it and the "English purse"

JudgeRindersMinder · 18/05/2020 14:16

@Ohdeariedear it’ll make a change from Scotland being the guinea pig!

I’m another in Scotland who generally has no time for Sturgeon, her policies and politics and SNP in general, but I can’t criticise her handling of this. So far everything has been very clear, and I expect the same when she releases her “roadmap out of lockdown”, instead of the mealy mouthed woolly bollocks from Westminster. It would appear that in Scotland the needs of the economy and health are being dealt with as a balance, as opposed to the English model now apparently being about the economy only.

Cheekychops73 · 18/05/2020 14:17

@Totally alas had our Scottish council not sold of the majority of green areas to contractors for big ugly housing then I would go out and get fresh air into our lungs but as it is the local parks and play areas are closed, the green areas are covered in houses and my garden though lovely to sit in is too small to do any substantial walking never mind exercising. As a carer for a brother with Downs who has a few mobility issues it's not really feasible and as we are being told not to travel on bus to get to any walks where we could SD then again we are fucked & as for the sitting on your arse remark Fuck off I wish I could but as I am a carer, a mother of a 5 year old, wife of an essential worker that's not happening as I am constantly on the go but don't let that stop you making a presumption of the fact that all of us in lock down are laying about all day doing nothing.

LagunaBubbles · 18/05/2020 14:18

You'll be telling me I'm not a real Scots next

Will I? I never said no-one can criticise her or the SNP either. But I suspect this is yet another thread designed to do exactly what it's doing. Scrounging Scottish people taking handouts from the English.

ChangeThePassword · 18/05/2020 14:19

Oh dear. Op, so far, since your op you have posted to say you are Scottish, to agree with someone that agrees with you and to make assumptions based on someone else's post.

Don't you have anything to say about all the other points that have been made? To argue why they aren't relevant or to refute them? Or did you just post to see how people would respond?

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 18/05/2020 14:20

She is trying to gain votes from
the older voters who usually think the SNP couldn’t organise the proverbial

Mascotte · 18/05/2020 14:21

The cult of the SNP

LagunaBubbles · 18/05/2020 14:21

Mentioning the country you live in is now 'anti SNP', fuck me that's inspired

Nope never said that either. I just know how these threads tend to go.

Sedlescombe · 18/05/2020 14:21

In my opinion, yes. Its for Scots to decide what happens in their country

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 18/05/2020 14:22

And when there is a horrific second wave in September it will be carnage. Yes I’m Scottish and live in scotland. Loathe the SNP and their trashing of my beautiful country

ChangeThePassword · 18/05/2020 14:22

She is trying to gain votes from
the older voters who usually think the SNP couldn’t organise the proverbial

Is that what the leaders in Wales and Northern Ireland are doing too?

Mascotte · 18/05/2020 14:22

All the old people I know seem to have no idea Scotland is different and are just telling me what they hear from the PM not the FM

TheMagiciansMewTwo · 18/05/2020 14:23

No-one can tell you what you're not OP. But since you started a thread to try to score cheap political points at the expense of people's health and wellbeing, I think we all know what you are.
Maybe you should ask MNHQ to change the title to : I hate the SNP and I still do even in lockdown. Not quite as emotive but more accurate I feel.

Ursaminor · 18/05/2020 14:23

Well, the Scottish daily stats have just been released and the NHS Grampian area (where I am) remains on it's upward trajectory. We have the same no of positive cases reported today as NHS Greater, Glasgow and Clyde, which has a much larger population. The local info that our peak will be the end of May looks reasonable.

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 18/05/2020 14:23

I have no idea. I have lived under the cloud of the SNP for so long that their modus operandi is clear.

Don’t know their prelockdown failings aren’t mentioned in the press like BJ’s. Appalling

StoorieHoose · 18/05/2020 14:24

And when there is a horrific second wave in September it will be carnage

In what way will it be carnage? Will there not be a second wave in the Rest of the UK?

YouHurtMeSoMuch · 18/05/2020 14:24

Yes.

As a Scottish person who loves being Scottish and is not ashamed of that I am definitely going to start a thread encouraging people to castigate us as scrounging Scots.

Well done for completely seeing through my cunning plan.

Or it could just be that I just started a thread because I disagree with Sturgeons actions and I am rather frustrated at that.

Take your pick, and don't let common sense influence you in any way.

Ah. I see you already did.

All the old people I know seem to have no idea Scotland is different

Once again Scotland isn't different, England is. And if there are people that don't realise that, it's a reflection on them and the people around them. The old people that I know are very aware of what is going on.
