I haven't smoked for 10 weeks now and before that it was only intermittently when I was away with work. I think I may get one last packet of Richmond Superkings Green if I can find them and have one last hurrah.
I've vaped alongside smoking for the last two years, which I can do at home and whilst driving the work vehicles, but it took me a long time to get comfortable with it. There was something particularly hipsterish about vape culture that I naturally wanted to stay away from.
If you stay away from the set-ups that are like dry ice machines and find yourself a menthol flavour that you like, it can be a decent substitute. I use a Tecc Arc 5 and I have Liberty Flights Winter Nip liquid at the highest nicotine level. It doesn't produce much vapour, so I've been able to get away with it in hotel rooms and ferry cabins for example, which has made it very handy.
It's not as good as a real cigarette of course, it took me alot of perseverance. After smoking menthols for a while, I really disliked smoking any regular cigarettes. I did overseas, where Menthols can be harder to come by, but I just wasn't enjoying it, which is where the vape came in to it's own.
Other than giving up entirely, and if vaping really isn't for you, then I guess try a few brands and see which one feels right taste wise. Richmond Blue were always good for me before, and I could still probably make do with them now. Marlborough smokers etc tended to consider them weak in taste, so they might be worth a look.
