Just that really - would you have quietly stocked up on hand sanitiser? Done something sooner? Taken up a hobby? Changed job?

Do a big clear out immediately. Living in a house full of black bags destined for charity shop, tip, eBay Confused

GlummyMcGlummerson · 16/05/2020 23:06

Invest in Hand sanitiser

QueenOfCatan · 16/05/2020 23:09

Don't accept the offer from this buyer as she's a pita and not bothered that your want a quick sale FFS.

ChooChoosBiscuitTin · 16/05/2020 23:25

I like to think I'd just buy myself a pint and say 'you're doing great' but really I'm a total gobshite and there no way I couldn't mention coronavirus and a good hour later I'd then say 'but you're doing great, it's weird, but you're getting through ok'

lovepickledlimes · 16/05/2020 23:40

I guess I would have insisted my mum come right here to the UK after visiting my grandmother or asked her to remain there. Now she is all on her own in germany and I feel so bad thinking she has no family beside her :(

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 16/05/2020 23:48

Gone to visit my mum
Gone to the dentist
Found a physio - ANY PHYSIO - who could see me in February/early March when my long-standing one had a ski accident
Got my hair cut and coloured like I should have in late February/early March, then I would only have 2 months of grey instead of 3.5
Got the hole in the roof mended
Saved as much as possible because DH is between contracts and there is nothing out there

Tr1skel1on · 16/05/2020 23:50

Buy more lentils and chickpeas than you could possibly imagine and then some more.

Sounds silly but veggie / vegan family plus fussy asd teenage daughter.

I'd sell my soul to Satan for some tins of chick peas

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 16/05/2020 23:54

Booked a hair cut just before lockdown
Stocked up on stuff to do And more slouch around the house clothes
Made a more conscious effort to meet up with friends
Brought shares in zoom

Bluebird3456 · 16/05/2020 23:59

Moved my parents and sibling in.
Bought baby clothes (that I thought I had ages to buy).

colleaguedebastard · 17/05/2020 00:35

Realised that the union rep who was representing me was actually lining up a management job. Years of being bullied was swept under the carpet - despite evidence - because I was pawned off onto someone else an hour before the hearing.

I am biding my time. I know where their bodies are buried and have plenty of dirt to scatter. Including them giving advice to the bully also.
And repeating details of cases that were very personal.

I’m waiting patiently.

Oh - and I’d have bought tins of tomatoes. Wink

Nsky · 17/05/2020 00:40

Push for private phyatrist app, rather than leaving it up to the nhs!
Took me 9: months of grief to get the right meds, long term post menopasal depression, hormone related

SquashedSpring · 17/05/2020 00:45

Don't put off going to the doctors about the bad shoulder.

LEELULUMPKIN · 17/05/2020 00:52

Brought my 50th birthday forward to February so I would have finally gone on that "once in a lifetime" trip to the Maldives that I had been waiting 30 and saving for 3 years for.

We locked down 2 days before, so not only was I stuck at home but couldn't even see what left I have of my family.

All of my milestone birthdays have been rubbish but I was determined that this year was going to be THE year.

Beginning to think I am cursed!

CornishTiger · 17/05/2020 00:57

To have trusted my instincts more.

SkiingIsHeaven · 17/05/2020 00:57

Wish that I had seen the consultant a couple of weeks earlier so I could have my knee operation and recover during lockdown. Now in constant pain, cannot exercise properly and have no idea when I can have the operation.

Can't stand the pain.

LEELULUMPKIN · 17/05/2020 00:59

Oh and invested in jigsaw companies!

Designerenvy · 17/05/2020 01:00

To have got a better work contract or a better job. Relief work isn't very good / stable during a pandemic !

MiniMum97 · 17/05/2020 01:08

Get in some dentist and hygienist appointments! Did not see this mentioned on the prepper threads!!!

And buy a ton of thin bleach. Why the duck us no one selling it. Can't get it anywhere! I prepped so had three bottles but am on the last dregs now.

I would also have bought more pasta and rice when prepping as it was a struggle to get those for a long while.

And probably should have gone to hairdresser as now not had haircut since before Christmas but tbh I am not that bothered about it.

Really want dentists to reopen though!!

IPityThePontipines · 17/05/2020 01:09

Seen more of my parents.

Watched my football team home and away. I miss it so much.

Madwife123 · 17/05/2020 01:25

Not spend a lot of time and money preparing for a wedding that wasn’t going to happen. Maybe get married earlier if we had time.

Willowkins · 17/05/2020 01:39

I would have made better use of my gym and swim membership. I miss it so much more now I can't go.

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 17/05/2020 01:40

@bd67thSaysReinstateLangCleg

Thank you. I spoke to OOH and got antibiotics. Just wish I'd done it 10 days ago when it was 'mild' rather than ending up crying with pain. At least they didnt admit me to hospital like they said they might!

Lovely1a2b3c · 17/05/2020 01:47

Get someone in to fix the washing machine- it works ok on short cycles but leaks all over the floor on longer cycles (I think one of the drains is partially blocked and it cannot cope with extra water/detergent)- I'm not risking getting someone in.

Put our house back on the market sooner and tried to get moved before this happened.

Ask our Vet to take a biopsy of our dog's lump- it was tiny at the time (we did take her to the Vet in mid-March) but has got bigger and is making me worry! I know that they can see her in an emergency but I don't think this qualifies.

Buy lots of disinfectant wipes, masks (which were much cheaper and it was still possible to buy the 3M FFP3 masks) and start getting very regular online food shops so that it was possible to book slots during the Lockdown.

JustStayHome · 17/05/2020 01:57

Got stocks in moon pig / funky pigeon.

psychomath · 17/05/2020 02:00

@rainbowstardrops this was the first year that I didn't celebrate NYE as I couldn't be bothered making any plans. I've been wondering whether this is all my fault for cursing 2020!
