Just that really - would you have quietly stocked up on hand sanitiser? Done something sooner? Taken up a hobby? Changed job?

Get that room plastered as you will be spending a lot of time in it.

Otherwise carry on as you are as you timed everything well.

StatisticalSense · 16/05/2020 21:45

Buy shares in Zoom and move to New Zealand, Australia or Sweden

Deanetta · 16/05/2020 21:52

Exactly six months ago I was packing my hospital bag ready to be induced. I would tell myself:

  1. Don’t be so scared... labour isn’t so bad
  2. You are a better mum than you think you will be
  3. Pack your laptop.. induction takes 90 hours to work! Grin

Dear self,
There's about to be a global pandemic. Get your coil from overseas replaced now and get your eye exam and dental checkup done in January.

MinesAPintOfTea · 16/05/2020 21:55

Leave husband now, because things that are bad when we were both going out to work are going to get intolerable under lockdown. I decided to give it a few months...

PamDenick · 16/05/2020 21:56

I would have gone to more church services. Just assumed I could go ever now and then but really miss the community feeling.

Have bought elderly mother a decent iPad and trained her how to use FaceTime, Zoom and Facebook.

Have bought a couple of point of lay hens and a fox-proof cage with the automatic door opening.

Asked the government if they had enough PPE to save lives of frontline workers in the event of a pandemic.

Warned people that the current government really wasn't fit for purpose (so what?)

Have booked a regular slot for milk deliveries (have been able to find everything else in local shops)

Bought a bike so when I really did need one didn't have to get the only one left in the shop (expensive).

Been more prepared at work so everything wasn't such a bodge job when lock down came in.

Dentist. Optician. Haircut.

Dollywilde · 16/05/2020 21:57

You’ll conceive in 5 days’ time. Get pissed while you still can Grin

Oh and there’s a global pandemic happening, but you’ll get through it. Maybe prioritise getting the hard landscaping done in the garden before lockdown though Grin

@ImNotWhoYouThinkIam You can still have a telephone consultation with your GP for your UTI. Flowers UTIs are awful.

mrbob · 16/05/2020 21:59

Have sex now. Last chance for a while...

Isoneedtorun · 16/05/2020 22:00

Just to say, you can buy paint, bulbs, seeds, DIY stuff on /line and can hire skips.

I'd have taught my Dad how to Skype or use a smartphone Sad

PrimeroseHillAnnie · 16/05/2020 22:00

Make a note of the lottery winning numbers before I moved it back six months.

Tangledyarn · 16/05/2020 22:01

They'll be a global pandemic, lockdown 2 weeks before everyone else, otherwise you will have caught the bloody virus already.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 16/05/2020 22:04

For the love of god, stick to the bloody diet. Hmm

MyHipsDontLieUnfortunately · 16/05/2020 22:06

I can't be the only one who'd send the press cuttings from 2020 to work leaders and tell them to sort it the fuck out.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 16/05/2020 22:07

Nothing !! Maybe I’d have saved up a bit and bought less shite

Thisisworsethananticpated · 16/05/2020 22:09

Buy shares in Zoom

GrinGrin

Kraejka · 16/05/2020 22:09

I'd have not booked my very expensive trip of a lifetime for June.

I'd have stocked up on handsanitizer and also bought shares in handsanitizer companies.

I'd have started saving money too and stopped spending to have enough to see me through the crisis.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 16/05/2020 22:09

Get my daughter to hospital sooner in November, and not let them send us home. If her bronchiolitis had been treated before she got so exhausted I don't think she would have ended up on a ventilator for a week.... or got it again a month later. It ruined our winter.

antipodalpizza · 16/05/2020 22:17

Our local skip hire places aren't working as all the refuse sites are closed.

Devonport14 · 16/05/2020 22:17

Build a massive fully stocked bunker by a beach

RhubarbTea · 16/05/2020 22:21

Buy the big fridge freezer that you can't afford, even if you have to get it on credit, while you can still have it delivered. Your business is about to explode due to a global pandemic and you will be busier than you ever have been and knackered as fuck.
Also, you sure you wanna do that OU degree??

JustAddCoffee91 · 16/05/2020 22:22

Buy loads of baby clothes... my 4 month old is in 12-18 month clothes and is wearing my 1 year olds clothes... 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes only fit him for about a week
Ohh and stock up on washing powder/pods

Fruitytootie · 16/05/2020 22:25

Keep up the diet.

Go for walks with friends and a flask of home brewed coffee, rather than weekly Costa trips where I can't resist the high calorie sweet lattes and usually a little extra.

Dishwashersaurous · 16/05/2020 22:27

Stockpile yeast

Graphista · 16/05/2020 22:27

Make mum stock up more than usual.

Tell dd to stock up even though she’ll roll her eyes.

If I had the money (disclaimer I have no idea how this shit works is there a minimum buy amount?) I’d buy shares in all 4 big supermarkets, Andrex, Dettol and proctor and gamble!

I’d certainly have told myself to stock up on my preferred disinfectant & toiletries, the result of not having done so means my eczema has gone nuts!

I’d have told myself to sort the kitchen out! Don’t be fobbed off about the washer, defrost & clean the freezer, get scales, sieve, blender and new pans. Get flour, baking powder and yeast in. You’re going to have to cook and bake again.

Book delivery slots for supermarket deliveries as far ahead as possible.

Stop procrastinating on the rubbish uplift you need get it cleared!

@MagisCapulis I thought I had stocked up! Couldn’t predict the change in what was available food wise and that actually generally speaking fresh food would be easier to get than long shelf life stuff! Who knew!

Warned people that the current government really wasn't fit for purpose (so what?) many of us tried people didn’t listen
