Just that really - would you have quietly stocked up on hand sanitiser? Done something sooner? Taken up a hobby? Changed job?

Don’t bother going out in zero degrees and gale force wind over the whole of the xmas holidays to bring on a young horse that’s going to have a forced holiday in spring and turn feral anyway.
Instead, open the port & enjoy

dayswithaY · 16/05/2020 20:47

Don't stress about anything because something worse is coming.

Don't get too attached to that nice new job you've just got, the company will got bust and you'll be made redundant.

smokescreen · 16/05/2020 20:47

Lottery numbers. That's all

MrsKCastle · 16/05/2020 20:47

I'd phone my Dad and tell him to take the coronavirus seriously and to stay safely at home. Sad

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 16/05/2020 20:48

hand sanitiser, masks, and Live a little

MagisCapulus · 16/05/2020 20:48

I wouldn't have switched jobs. Stuck somewhere I hate now.

Also, interesting to see people say they would have stocked up on x y or z. Given preppers were so mocked this time last year!

LiveFatsDieYoGnu · 16/05/2020 20:49

Go to the dentist.
Go swimming
Order wood for the DIY projects we planned.
Make sure all the family visit DS1 as soon as he is born otherwise they won't see him until he is months old Sad

olivehater · 16/05/2020 20:50

Gone on holiday feb half term. Decided we need a little break from holidays and did nothing much feb half term and planned lots of fun things to do over spring and summer instead. All of which have gone down the pan!

Batmanandbobbin · 16/05/2020 20:50

Kick the partner out - you’re about to find out your boyfriend has been sexting lots of women for the past year and he stays you’ll forgive him far to easily. Ohhhhhh (ghost noise - just to make it less hurtful for myself)

And also get to the dentist and hairdressers.

CrowdedHouseinQuarantine · 16/05/2020 20:50

move to new zealand or germany
i have relatives in both places!

Wauden · 16/05/2020 20:51

Take leave from work and decide on what new bath, shower, tiles and possibly hand basin and book the damn plumber and electrician!

Book a boiler service!

Samtsirch · 16/05/2020 20:52

Stop feeling bored and dissatisfied with your life.
I ACHE for my old life now.

BarkingCat · 16/05/2020 20:54

Not have a new brace fitted ... I was meant to have 4 weekly appointments and was due one the day they closed, I’m rebooked for July...

Buy shares in Zoom.
Stock up on flour and yeast (still not managed to buy any).
Go to the tip.
Not to book the trip of a lifetime for May.
Go on a diet and stick to it (just because I’ve gained half a stone in lockdown on top of the two I had to lose).
Not to pay for a raft of spring running races that have now all been cancelled.

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 16/05/2020 20:55

Actually converted the playroom into a 3rd bedroom so it had a bed in there not just a mattress on the floor.

Told myself that when I get a UTI don't self treat with cranberry juice, just get some antibiotics. Because it will get worse. And now I'm sick as fuck.

RedskyAtnight · 16/05/2020 20:56

Taken DD to the doctor and insisted on getting her ankle treated rather than working on the principle that it just needed rest.

Not booked a summer holiday.

Bought home exercise equipment.

hollieberrie · 16/05/2020 20:56

Dont buy that flat. Leave London and buy a small house with a garden somewhere quiet and lovely and near friends.
Take all your vitamins because you're about to be very poorly.

Makegoodchoices · 16/05/2020 20:58

Teach Grandma to use her tablet properly, and upgrade her crappy internet package! And defrost the freezer. (And have a Feb haircut booked)

OhhhPeee · 16/05/2020 20:58

Stop stressing about bloody Brexit - it’s about to become completely irrelevant!

Don’t finally get around to buying a second car in the first week of February To take the pressure of the crazy commuting/child pick-up and drop-off schedule - it’ll be sat on the drive for months.

Buy a fuck tonne of kids craft supplies and book up all the supermarket deliver slots you can get your hands on.

Stock up on face masks, hand gel, Dettol in all its forms and soap.

Bet the house on a depressing Tory election victory.

Madein1995 · 16/05/2020 21:02

Dont reduce on your subutex script. Have a really honest conversation with your prescriber about your relapse and your fears even if this means being placed on daily collection. It might have saved me a few relapses

Do not continue on drinking like its Christmas in January, telling yourself 'its fine' because its actually unhealthy and will be difficult to stop

Replace your work equipment now, dont put it off because you think you never wfh. I requested the damn thing in March and it's still not materialised

Work on your self esteem, you're better than you think

Put in boundaries with a relapsed NA friend. Do not spend 50quid on food shopping for him, or buy him cigarettes, as this will lead him to think you are a cash cow

Go on meetup meetups. Youll enjoy it.

See your parents more. Yea they're hard work and mam is abusive but you will miss them when you cant see them at all.

Start making the effort to cook. Itll probably take less time to do than waiting for a takeaway and is healthier.

Fromthebirdsnest · 16/05/2020 21:02

Actually not a lot we saw this coming as we have a freind that lives in China , we brought ppe & filled our freezer and cupboards back in early January .. My husband had even started to make sure people had provisions to work from home everyone thought we were mad x

trellishead · 16/05/2020 21:03

I would start preparation a very sophisticated proposal and negotiation with the time machine owner to go back another 20 years.

Fossie · 16/05/2020 21:03

Get the piano tuned. It’s well overdue and will become painful to play.

DKanin · 16/05/2020 21:03

Get out and choose and order my living room furniture 2 months earlier. Lovely cosy empty room with sofa and cardboard box table is working nicely for me - less to clean I suppose.

Don't book things like concert tickets (that I'll have to chase up refunds for)

Don't buy clothes to wear to weddings and nice events - those were a waste of money

Don't renew the car insurance

Stock up on kitchen store cupboard basics to be used in all cooking

Get my spinal surgery booked in and done (unfortunately I didn't in time)

Oblomov20 · 16/05/2020 21:03

Got a second job working fur a big company, like Twitter.

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/05/2020 21:05

I'm a prepper anyway but would have bought more flour. Everything else is still lasting fine. Disclaimer - I had plenty of toilet roll that I had bought over a year and have not had to buy any since lockdown.

Started the diet so that I hadn't just started it the week of lockdown and may have had more willpower!

Been to my parents caravan and picked up their summer clothes (they keep them there)
